He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 833

Hearing that, Helena couldn't help but laugh softly.

She reached out and gave Kyle's cheek an affectionate pinch.

She genuinely thought Kyle was far more reliable than his father; he might be quiet, but he knew exactly how to make someone feel special.

"Do you want a souvenir?" Helena asked him with a smile.

Kyle's eyes widened. "Yes! I really want that Dolphin Souvenir. But Dad won't let me get it because he says my asthma will act up from the fuzz."

"I'll buy it for you," Helena declared firmly.

Beaming, Kyle dragged her by the hand straight toward the gift shop counter.

He picked out the one he wanted, and Helena paid for it.

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Skye wriggling out of Sebastian's arms.

The little girl immediately darted off in the direction of The Restroom.

Sebastian watched her go inside before walking over to Helena and Kyle.

Seeing his father approach, Kyle immediately showed off his prize. "Helena bought this for me!"

Sebastian gave it a glance but decided not to scold him.

"Skye went to the restroom," Sebastian mentioned casually.

Helena gave a brief hum of acknowledgment.

That was the very first exchange they had shared since arriving at the park.

Short, to the point, and devoid of any extra fluff.

Helena had no desire to strike up a conversation.

But Sebastian's intense gaze remained fixed squarely on her.

It was so piercing it made the back of her neck prickle.

Under that heavy scrutiny, Helena kept her mouth shut.

She figured that with Kyle standing right there, Sebastian wouldn't try to confront her about anything serious anyway.

So she embraced the silence.

Suddenly, a wave of heat enveloped her palm.

Furrowing her brows, she looked down and realized Sebastian had laced his fingers through hers.

She tried to pull away, but his grip was ironclad, giving her zero chance of escape.

Eventually, she gave up the fight.

She didn't want to cause a scene in public.

The only ones who would suffer the awkwardness were Kyle and Skye.
