Seeing the red scrape on Aria's palm, Lucca snapped his head toward Summer, his voice laced with accusation. "Summer, I know you're upset, but you can't just lose your mind and start physically attacking people."
Stella was so furious she could barely see straight. "Are you out of your damn mind, Lucca?!" she yelled. "You didn't even see what just happened, and you're immediately blaming Summer!"
"Lucca, it's my fault. I fell on my own, Summer had nothing to do with it..."
Aria immediately sobbed over Stella's voice. "I told her to hit me or yell at me to let her anger out, and I just overwhelmed her..."
Lucca instantly realized he had overreacted. Catching the profound pain in Summer's eyes, he quickly let go of Aria and strode over to his girlfriend. He reached for her hand, his tone softening. "Summer, I'm sorry I raised my voice. Are you okay?"
Summer yanked her hand out of his grasp, making it blatantly clear she wanted nothing to do with him.
Seeing her icy, defensive wall slam back up, a spark of irritation flared in Lucca's chest. His tone darkened. "Summer, I've already explained everything to you. There is absolutely nothing going on between me and her. How much longer are you going to throw a tantrum over this?"
The sheer audacity of his words made both Summer and Stella let out breathless laughs of disbelief.
Summer met his gaze, her eyes brimming with mockery. "I'm throwing a tantrum? Lucca, you secretly wired her money, took her on a business trip, and now she crashes our private room to cry and play the victim. You walk in here and immediately accuse me without knowing a damn thing, and I'm the one throwing a tantrum?"
"I wasn't accusing you, I just..." Lucca's voice softened again, realizing he was losing ground. "Look, I was wrong. I shouldn't have snapped without knowing the context."
He reached out, attempting to touch her shoulder. "We've been together for five years. Don't you trust me by now?"
Summer dodged his hand. A bitter smile touched her lips, though her eyes glistened with unshed tears. "That's exactly what makes this so pathetic—our five years together. Do you honestly think I'm that petty and heartless? If she really needed help and you had just been honest with me, would I have stopped you? We both know exactly what your real intentions were. Don't make me spell it out."
