No one realized just how much Nina had freaked Ethan out. He was so scared he nearly passed out on the

spot.

The Rolls-Royce really could handle anything.

And it was pretty fast.

But even with Ethan’s driver pushing the pedal to the metal, they just couldn’t catch up to Nina.

He kept after her, and next thing he knew, Nina had driven straight into that mountain.

That was the very same mountain where Vivian had abandoned Nina all those years ago.

Ethan was freaking out, frantically calling Nina, but she just kept ignoring his calls.

Before Ethan could figure out what to do, he saw Nina gunning the car straight toward the edge of the cliff.

He was so freaked out, his whole body went numb.

When he finally came to his senses, he rushed over to the cliff to check what had happened.

But when he looked down, he realized it wasn’t a cliff at all. It was just a flat clearing below.

He let out a huge sigh of relief.

But before Ethan could even process what just happened, Nina was already tearing off in her car again.

Ethan scrambled to catch up, chasing after her in a panic.

No matter how hard he tried, he ended up trailing her all the way back to the Swanson residence, and still couldn’t catch up.

Nina grinned and gave Ethan a friendly pat on the shoulder. “Ethan, chill out for a sec.”

Ethan slapped her hand away. “Seriously, you’re laughing? Do you have any idea how close you came to giving me a heart attack?”

“He’s just trash. You think I’d actually die for someone like him? You’re underestimating me, Ethan.” Nina shot a cold look at Matthew, who was still standing there, scoffed, and headed upstairs.

Ethan caught up to her and warned sternly, “No matter what, don’t ever do something that reckless again. There are better ways to deal with scum. Don’t play games with your own life.”

“Alright,” Nina replied. Suddenly, something occurred to her, and she asked, “How’s your company doing?”

Nina had known about Ethan starting his own company ever since she came back to the Swanson family.

She also knew his business was struggling because of money problems.

She’d been planning to give Ethan some money anyway, and when his birthday rolled around, it was the perfect excuse to hand it over.

She thought 30 million would be enough.

“It’s going okay for now,” Ethan replied.

What Ethan didn’t say was that lately, someone had been sabotaging him at every turn.

Every time he’d work out a deal with a partner, they’d back out at the last minute, before the contract was even signed.

After a few rounds like that, the 30 million he’d put in was gone before he even saw any results.

And now, just to keep the company afloat, he needed a ton more cash.

He knew Nina was talented and loaded, but he’d already taken 30 million from her. He couldn’t bring himself to ask for more.

Nina could tell right away that Ethan was hiding something from her.

She didn’t say a word. Instead, she pulled out her phone and transferred another 60 million to Ethan.

When Ethan saw the bank notification, he bit his lip. “Nina…”

“Consider it a loan,” Nina said, stashing her phone and shooting him a look. “Ethan, if 90 million can’t get you out of trouble, don’t bother calling yourself my brother.”

Ethan’s eyes got misty. “Thanks.”

Nina raised an eyebrow. “Seriously? You’re a grown man. Save the tears for your business, not for me.”

She paused, then added, “Ryan’s company is all about tech and software. You know that, right?”

Ethan started to say something, but Nina cut him off. “If your software sucks, Ryan won’t work with you just because of me. Pull in a favor when you really need it.”

Ethan was quiet for a moment. “Got it,”

Then he asked, “If someone’s messing with my company, can he help me handle it?”

Nina raised an eyebrow. “What?”

“You said it yourself. Use your connections when you need to,” Ethan replied with total confidence. “I’m just asking him to help out for your sake. That’s fair, right?”
