‘She just gives orders and doesn’t put up a single cent, and in the end, I’m the one who has to pay for everything.

‘No way!’

Tomorrow, she was going to hunt James down and get that money back, one way or another.

After receiving the money, Lily suddenly remembered something and asked, “Mom, do you might try anything against Nina?”

think Matthew

“What do you think?” Vivian snorted. “When Nina was a kid, she bit a chunk of skin right off Matthew’s shoulder. He absolutely hates her. Trust me, the only reason he came back this time is because of Nina.”

Vivian warned Lily seriously, “You’d better keep your distance from Matthew. That guy’s a maniac. When he goes off the rails, he doesn’t care about anyone, not even family. Don’t let yourself get hurt.”

“I know,” Lily replied, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Lily thought, ‘This is great.

‘Let the games begin!

‘If only Matthew would finish Nina off, I’d finally be the true heiress of the Swanson family.

‘And Ryan would be mine, too.

‘And every single guy Nina’s managed to charm? I’ll make sure they all end up with me, no exceptions!’

The next morning, Nina woke up late. By the time she made it downstairs, everyone else in the Swanson family had already finished breakfast. Only Matthew and Waverly were still at the table, eating.

Vivian used to insist that everyone wait for Nina before starting the meal, which always led to some drama. Now, she’d given up on that rule. Whoever showed up first could just dig in.

After Sarah’s poisoning incident, all her meals were healing foods specially prepared by Laura under Nina’s instructions. So Sarah didn’t bother arguing with Vivian about it anymore.

James was rarely home these days and didn’t pay Vivian any

mind.

Everyone else was fine with it.

Nina shot Matthew and Waverly a sly, mischievous grin, then strutted over to join them at the table.

As soon as Laura saw Nina come downstairs, she quickly brought out her meal. “Miss, Sarah has already eaten. Yours has been kept warm in the pot. It’s still nice and hot.”

Nina took the bowl. “Thanks.”

Waverly looked up, slammed her fork down on the table, and snapped, “Why does her food look different from ours? What, is she getting some kind of special treatment or something?”

Nina glanced up at her.

Laura quickly explained, “Nina is eating the healing foods she came up with herself. She eats the same thing as Sarah.”

“Healing foods?” Waverly sneered. “So she gets all the good stuff, huh? Bring it over. I want some, too.”

“Uh…” Laura looked uncertainly at Nina, not sure what to do.

Nina calmly kept eating, acting like she hadn’t heard a thing.

When Nina didn’t respond, Laura just turned and walked off.

“Hold it!” Waverly snapped angrily. “I told you to bring me some healing foods. Did you not hear me?”

“There’s none left. The last bowl went to Nina,” Laura replied, knowing exactly who to prioritize in this house.

Laura had worked for the Swansons for years, and she’d watched Waverly grow up from a kid.

She knew all about Waverly’s nasty temper. Even the rest of the Swanson family wouldn’t dare mess with her.

But things were different now.

These days, Sarah was the real boss of the house.

And Nina was the next big shot, right under her.

If Nina didn’t say anything, Laura wasn’t about to hand over the food.

“None left? Then go make some for me right now!” Waverly barked, her tone sharp and demanding.

Laura didn’t say a word, just looked to Nina, waiting for her response.

Nina beckoned her over, and Laura leaned in so Nina could whisper something in her ear.

After Nina whispered something, Laura looked up, and for a moment, she actually felt a little sorry for Waverly.

Then she went straight outside.

Soon enough, she came back in carrying a dog bowl and handed it to Nina, not even blinking.

Nina picked up the dog bowl, strode right up to Waverly, grabbed a fistful of her hair, and slammed her face down onto the table. Then she forced Waverly’s mouth open and shoved the whole bowl of dog food right

down her throat.

“Get this through your head. You cat whatever’s served in this house. If you keep acting picky, you’ll be eating dog food from now on, got it?” Nina said.
