Right after Vance spoke, Ethan slammed his fist into Vance’s stomach. “What the hell is wrong with you? Aunt Joanna is your own mother! Instead of backing her up, you talk crap about her?

“She used to be a top actress, gave it all up for you and your dad, and this is what she gets?”

Vance wanted to hit back, but the bodyguards pinned him down so he couldn’t move. He could only shout, “I’m not the one who made her quit acting. Why did she have to stop being a star and turn into some housewife?

“She always reeked of cooking oil and looked all worn out. I couldn’t even let her show up at school events! Do you have any idea how ashamed I was?”

“You bastard!” Ethan shouted, ready to throw another punch.

But Joanna called out, “Ethan, stop.”

Ethan frowned. “Aunt Joanna, don’t tell me you’re actually thinking of going back with them.”

Joanna shook her head. She glanced at Vance and Theodore, not wanting to waste another word on them.

She felt like no matter what she said, it would all be pointless.

These two would never realize they were wrong.

Joanna turned to Nina. “Nina, please get Theodore to sign the divorce papers. I want the divorce done today, and I never want to see him again.”

Nina had stayed silent, just waiting for her to finally make up her mind.

At first, when Nina asked Theodore to sign the divorce papers, Joanna hesitated.

Maybe it was because of Vance.

But now, she didn’t want to keep this marriage anymore.

It seemed that she was finally done with Theodore and Vance.

Nina didn’t say anything. She just turned to Max and said, “I want this man to sign the divorce papers in ten minutes. Can you make it happen?”

Max smirked. “Ten minutes? Ms. Swanson, you’re selling me short. For trash like him? I just need two

minutes.”

Max didn’t waste any time. He whipped out a small knife and drove it right into Theodore’s leg. “Are you signing it or not?”

Theodore screamed instantly.

Cold sweat poured down his forehead as he gritted his teeth. “I’m not signing.”

Max yanked the knife out and stabbed it into his other leg.

Every time Max stabbed Theodore, he’d snarl, “Are you signing or not?”

However, Theodore was stubborn as hell. Both his legs were full of holes, but he just wouldn’t sign those divorce papers.

There were only thirty seconds left before Max’s two-minute deadline.

Max pressed the knife right against Theodore’s groin. “I don’t like going back on my word. Ten seconds left. Sign it or not?”

“You wouldn’t dare!” Theodore’s face went pale, his voice trembling. “If you hurt me, I’ll make sure you rot in jail.”

“Oh yeah?” Max sneered, pressing the knife even harder. “Five seconds left.”

Theodore started to panic.

He swallowed hard, his mind racing as he fought his last bit of stubbornness.

With just one second left, Max aimed the knife straight at Theodore’s dick, about to plunge it in.

“Okay!” Theodore shouted, his voice cracking. “I’ll sign the divorce papers!”

Max put the knife away with a bored look. “Should’ve just signed in the first place. What a waste of my time.”

Theodore finally signed the divorce papers.

Since Theodore was the one at fault, Joanna got half of his assets.

But Theodore’s assets included some real estate, and Joanna didn’t want to have anything to do with him in the future, so she just asked for 6 million dollars, to be transferred right then and there.

Theodore didn’t want to agree, but with those bodyguards all around him, he had no choice but to give in.

As for the kids, they each got one.

Joanna took Hazel.

As for Vance, Joanna didn’t even bother to fight for him. She just let him go without a word.

Vance snapped, “Mom, you don’t want me? I’m your son! Why are you giving up on me?”

Joanna answered coldly, “Wasn’t it you who turned your back on me?”

Vance insisted, “I never said I didn’t want you! I just wanted you to dress up a little, so I wouldn’t be embarrassed, and stop meddling in my life. You’re my mom. Why would I ever not want you?”
