Falconer added, “It’s been almost a year since we all hung out. You finally made it here, and who knows when we’ll get together next?

“You’re the boss, at least check in on the base a little. Otherwise, we’ll look pretty lame.”

There were four of them in the Xenith Alliance.

Except for Falconer, who always called her “Boss”, the other three usually just called her “bro”.

With Nina hanging around this time, it was the perfect opportunity for her to size up the rookies and see what the new blood was made of.

As night fell, Nina crashed in the room Storm had arranged for Her.

Around one in the morning, the base’s alarms suddenly blared.

Others shouted, “Intruder alert!”

“Grab the weapons!”

“Is Crimson Syndicate attacking?”

The moment the alarms went off, Storm and the other two grabbed their gear and bolted straight for Nina’s room.

But when they got there, they were totally stunned.

They thought, ‘Who the hell is in there, fighting with Nina in the dark?

‘And the craziest part? There’s only one person!

‘One person has actually broken through our base’s defenses!”

“Damn, this guy’s got guts, breaking into the Xenith Alliance alone. He must be tired of living! Leave him to me. I’ll make sure he never walks out of here,” Grey Eagle shouted, already gearing up to rush in.

“Hold up, let’s watch a little longer,” Storm said, grabbing Grey Eagle to stop him.

Storm frowned, watching the scene. The more he looked, the stranger it seemed.

He thought, ‘Aren’t they supposed to be fighting?

‘Why does it look… kinda romantic?’

“To hell with watching!” Grey Eagle snapped. “If we keep standing around, something’s gonna happen to her!”

He didn’t give a damn about anything else. Anyone who messed with Nina, he’d be the first to throw down.

“What’s the rush?” Black Wolf said, looking totally chill. “Take a good look at who that is.”

Grey Eagle glanced over and froze on the spot.

‘Why the hell is that person here?’ Falconer thought, totally stunned.

Meanwhile, Nina was pissed.

The moment the person closed in on her, she instantly recognized who it was.

Nina didn’t hold back at all, swinging a brutal palm strike, but he slipped past it easily, closing in so fast that she barely had time to react.

“Nina, you’re full of openings!” the man’s gravelly voice rumbled right in her ear.

Nina raised an eyebrow and sent a savage kick straight for his weak spot.

“Trying to kill me now? If you break it, who’s gonna keep you satisfied?” he teased, his voice low and full of mischief.

He snatched her ankle mid-kick, and his other hand darted in, teasing her sensitive waist.

Nina flashed a wicked grin. “Better if I break it.”

“Then you’ll be out of luck, Nina,” he shot back.
