Ryan leaned in close to Nina’s ear, his warm breath brushing against her face. Her heart started pounding for no reason.
“Damn it,” Nina growled.
She let out a low snarl, fighting the urge to lash out, and threw a punch at him.
Their moves grew fiercer and fiercer.
Ryan grabbed Nina’s hand and pinned her against the wall.
“Nina, I miss you,” Ryan said in a low voice.
He leaned in, nose to nose, his husky voice sending sparks through Nina’s heart.
“How did you find me?” Nina raised an eyebrow, hooking his chim with her finger. She looked into his deep, dark eyes. Then she got it.
“Finding you is never hard,” Ryan chuckled. Just seeing her made his day.
“You tracked me down again?” Nina grumbled, her irritation flaring up.
She’d gone out of her way to mask her location, but he still managed to sniff her out.
‘Guess I’ve been slacking off lately. Time to level up my hacking game,’ Nina thought to herself.
“I’m sorry,” Ryan said, giving her his best puppy-dog look.
Not that he actually meant it. He’d never thought he was wrong.
No doubt he’d pull the same stunt again next time.
Nina shot him a sideways glance. “Weren’t you supposed to be in Riverdale? What are you doing here?”
“Just here to help you cool off,” Ryan teased, lifting a lock of her air with one hand and leaning in so close that his breath tickled her ear. “You paid me, so of course I have to keep you happy.”
Nina was speechless.
Ryan took her hand and pressed it against himself. “Don’t you want it?” he murmured, voice dripping with temptation.
Every word Ryan breathed out felt like a spell, and Nina could feel her self-control slipping as her desire started to burn hotter.
In the end, desire won out over reason. She grabbed Ryan by the collar and dragged him straight into the room.
Black Wolf and the other two stood frozen, staring in disbelief.
‘Seriously? Are we just invisible or something?’ they thought.
After a long, awkward pause, Grey Eagle finally drawled, “So, we just gonna let this go? Ryan just strolls into our base and boldly sleeps with our boss right under our noses.
“Aren’t we supposed to teach him a lesson or something?”
Black Wolf gave him a sideways glance, pushed up his glasses, and said lazily. “Just go take a shower first. You seriously stink.”

Grey Eagle was speechless.

‘Seriously, what does me taking a shower have to do with teaching Ryan a lesson?’ Grey Eagle thought, completely baffled.
Storm turned around, looked Grey Eagle up and down, and said with total seriousness, “Yeah, you really do.”
Grey Eagle didn’t know what to say.
With that, Black Wolf and Storm just left without another word.
Grey Eagle was left standing there, all confused and flustered. “Hey, are you guys seriously just gonna let it go?”
Black Wolf stopped in his tracks. “Oh, guess this impossible mission is all yours. Go save Boss from Ryan’s clutches.”
Grey Eagle puffed up. “I swear, I’ll pull off this epic rescue.”
Without another word, Grey Eagle stormed right into Nina’s room.
Suddenly, there was a loud thud.
Grey Eagle barely got his foot in the doorway before he was booted right back out.
Grey Eagle snapped, “Damn it, I’m gonna kill you!”
He barreled in again.
The next few minutes were just a blur of crashes and kicks.
After getting kicked out for the millionth time, Grey Eagle howled, “Black Wolf, Storm, you guys are the worst! Traitors!”
Storm turned around and played along, “That damn Ryan. We gotta take him out, or he’ll keep stealing Boss from us.”
But as soon as he finished talking, Storm sped up, dashed back to his room, and slammed the door shut.
Grey Eagle didn’t know what to say.
He thought, ‘Storm, you traitor!
‘I see right through you now.’
Grey Eagle looked up at the silent Black Wolf, his own face scrunched up like he was about to cry.
Black Wolf calmly pushed up his glasses. “This mission’s a real challenge. Keep at it.”
