anger.

Waverly was so mad that she nearly lost her breath. She yelled, “This is so unfair! Why am I the only one in the whole family left out? Nina, I’m still your aunt!

“Just because you’re in charge of the Swanson family now doesn’t mean you can just toss me aside!”

“Fair?” Judy snorted. “You’re the last person who should talk about fairness, Waverly. Don’t forget, a few years back you threw a fit and snatched five percent of the company’s shares for yourself.

“Joanna never got any of that. If you really care about fairness, hand over those five percent to Joanna first, and then we’ll talk.”

Waverly’s face fell. “Why should I? Those shares are mine! Dad left the company to all his kids, and we all have a right to inherit. If Joanna didn’t want hers, that’s on her.

“I took what I deserved, so why should I give it up? I don’t care what anyone says. I’m getting my cut of the Swanson family’s profits, or I’ll sue!”

“Outsiders are getting more than family. Even if I’m fine with it, Linda, Judy, you two should be pissed, right?”

“Are you out of your mind?” Linda rolled her eyes. “We don’t have to deal with any of the company’s stuff. We’ re getting shares for free. Why would we have a problem with that?”

Judy added, “Don’t try to play your little games with us. We’re not buying it.”

“You guys!” Waverly’s face turned ashen with rage.

She finally got it. Ever since Nina’s identity as the chairman of SN Corporation was made public, everyone in the family who went with the flow had jumped on Nina’s bandwagon.
