Chapter 29
Chapter 29
Anger shot through Nina, making her almost freeze in place.
She glared at Ryan icily, forcing herself to hold back the urge to hit him. Just as she was about to speak, Ryan said, “Amy, bring out the food.”
“Right away,” the housekeeper, Amy Chapman, replied and quickly set the dishes on the table.
Ryan stood and wrapped an arm around Nina’s waist, guiding her to the table. He waved his hand over the food. “Are you going to stay mad first, or eat first?”
Nina fell silent. She wanted to kick Ryan, but the familiar aroma made her unbearably hungry. She hadn’t eaten anything since breakfast, and waiting in the company all day had only made her hunger worse.
Elaine’s stomach was growling too. She didn’t know if Nina was hungry, but she certainly was.
Without waiting to see if Nina was still upset, Elaine plopped down into a chair. “Nina, you stay mad. I’m eating first.
Nina shot her a glance, then quickly sat down, devouring the food like a starving wolf. She and Elaine cleared the table in no time.
The Fosters gaped in shock. They couldn’t believe how much these two girls could eat, and they were even more surprised about where the food had come from.
None of the dishes had been made by Amy. The Fosters preferred mild food; few of them could handle anything spicy. But this entire table was full of spicy dishes that looked very tasty.
Amy noticed their confused expressions and smiled. “Ryan made all of this. He went to the supermarket himself at noon to buy the ingredients. He cooked everything by hand and wouldn’t even let me help.”
Then she glanced at Nina.
Seeing the happiness on Ryan’s face while cooking, Amy was certain he had fallen for someone.
Looking at Nina, she realized why Ryan had stayed single for twenty-eight years.
No other girl could compare to Nina. She looked like an angel, and just looking at her was pleasing to the eye.
Ryan’s parents and grandparents stared in astonishment.
They knew him better than anyone, and they hadn’t expected Nina to have such an effect on him. She had completely changed his usual pride, and he even cooked for her himself.
At the engagement party, Ryan had said he took good care of Nina, but his family had always assumed he hired a professional chef. No one expected him to cook personally for her.
For a moment, they didn’t know whether to feel happy or sorry for Ryan.
Ryan glanced at Nina, who was eating with complete focus, and gave a faint smile. Then he stood, picked up the share acquisition agreement, and was about to tear it up.
But Grace, curious about what he was holding, took a closer look at the document. When she read the words on it, she gasped. “Oh my god!”
She snatched the agreement out of Ryan’s hands with lightning speed and began reading it line by line.
Then Grace let out another gasp. “Honey, big news. SN Corporation is actually Ryan and Nina’s company.”

“What?” The Fosters were all stunned.
Charles hurried over and took the agreement from Grace. The shock in his eyes was obvious. Maria and Zachary were equally surprised.
“Ryan, you’re awesome,” Zachary said, looking at him with admiration. “SN Corporation made it into the global top 100 in just a few years, and you founded it? Why didn’t you tell us sooner?”
Maria suddenly remembered something and snapped, “You little punk! Six months ago, Foster Group tried to cooperate with SN Corporation on a project, and we got rejected. That was you?”
