The memory made Maria furious. Foster Group had placed huge importance on collaborating with SN Corporation. The entire company had worked for over two months to prepare a solid proposal, but SN Corporation didn’t even look at it before rejecting the cooperation.

They hadn’t even given a reason. The Foster family had been disappointed for a long time. And now it turned out SN Corporation was Ryan’s company.

Still, despite her anger, Maria felt proud. She had always known Ryan was capable. Otherwise, Charles wouldn’t have retired early and handed the company over to him.

Since Ryan took over Foster Group, the company’s profits had risen several percentage points each year, and the Foster family’s position in Betrico had become more secure.

But Maria couldn’t believe Ryan had refused to let his own family’s company collaborate with SN Corporation.

“I don’t have any decision-making power,” Ryan said, rubbing his temples and glancing at Nina and Elaine, who were happily eating. “The company answers to Nina.”

In truth, founding SN Corporation had been Ryan’s lucky break.

Nina could have started SN Corporation on her own, but Ryan had wanted to invest so they could be together every day.

Nina wasn’t short on money, but she agreed to let him invest, giving him just thirty percent of the shares. She said it was to give him a sense of security.

The Fosters’ jaws dropped. They were stunned to see Nina happily eating while holding all the power in such a huge company.

A company of that size, and Ryan has no control? Nina is really amazing, they thought.

However, they couldn’t understand where Nina had gotten the capital to start a group like SN Corporation. They had heard that she’d been raised by a nightclub hostess, so there was no way she could have afforded that kind of money.

The Fosters were seasoned businesspeople and fully understood how difficult it was to start a corporation. Not to mention anything else, founding SN Corporation would require at least $800 million in initial investment.

They doubted that a nightclub hostess could possibly provide that much money.

While Ryan’s parents and grandparents were still in shock, Ryan snatched the acquisition agreement from Grace’s hands. and tore it to pieces without a second thought.

Nina shot up from her seat, her eyes blazing with fury as she stared at the shredded paper in Ryan’s hands. Through gritted teeth, she said, “I’ll kill you!”

“Even if I die, I’m going down with you,” Ryan said, hands in his pockets, a roguish grin on his face. “You took my virginity, so I’m stuck with you for life. Nina, never think about dumping me.”

Nina’s anger surged, yet she forced herself to speak calmly. “We’re already broken up.”

“That was your idea,” Ryan said. “I never agreed to it.”

Nina didn’t know what to say. She couldn’t even

understand what had ever attracted her to this clingy rogue.

The atmosphere in the living room grew awkward instantly. The Fosters glanced at Ryan, then at Nina, unsure how to react.

Finally, Grace stepped forward with a smile. Before anyone could process what was happening, she hugged Nina.

Chapter 30

Before Grace could say anything, she heard Ryan and Elaine shout behind her, “No!”

But neither of them could stop Grace. She already wrapped her arms around Nina.

Nina froze completely.

Ryan raised a hand to his forehead, while Elaine screamed, “Let her go!”

Grace looked confused. “I’m just giving Nina a hug. Do you really have to look like the world’s ending?”

Although Nina wasn’t Grace’s daughter-in-law yet, that didn’t stop her from liking Nina. Seeing Nina’s face made her want to hug her. She couldn’t understand why Ryan and Elaine looked so terrified.

Elaine stomped her foot in frustration. “Do you even realize what you just did?”
