She kept glancing over at Nina, wanting to say something but stopping herself every time.

Luna hesitated, then blurted out, “Nina, did you really earn two Ph.D. degrees from Betrico University at sixteen?”

Luna thought, ‘Vivian was always questioning Nina’s intelligence and looked down on her at every turn.’

Luna had heard the whole story from her mom. It wasn’t that Nina and Lily had been switched at birth. Vivian had secretly taken Nina away and just dumped her.

Then Vivian brought back Lily, who looked almost exactly like Nina. At first, no one noticed anything was off about Lily.

It wasn’t until the paternity test results came back that Luna’s mom and Judy finally realized the truth. This wasn’t some mix-up. Vivian just couldn’t stand Nina, thought she was an embarrassment to the family, and got rid of her.

‘People like her? People could count them on one hand in the whole country.

‘But the Swanson family has one.

‘Whether Vivian would be so furious that she’d have a heart attack if she ever found out.

Camden was the one who told her to get them.

Most people can’t even get into college, and here Nina was, saying something so savage.

Nina’s phone buzzed with a message. She glanced at it and replied offhandedly, “Anyone who dares lay a finger on me better be ready to go straight to hell.”

Luna was speechless.

She thought, ‘Okay, then.’

It wasn’t the first time Luna had seen Nina’s badass side.

Nina stared at the photos, swallowing hard.

After a long pause, she finally typed out: [Seriously? What’s wrong with you? It’s broad daylight.]

Ryan: [Pics.]

Ryan: [I’m sick. Lovesick. Only cure is you.]

Nina: [You……]

Ryan: [Heard you brought some male models into Midnight Club. Careful. Don’t let those pretty boys charm. you.]

Nina: [Me? Sick? You wish.]

Ryan: [You’re sick, Nina? Wait for me. I’m heading to Riverdale right now to fix you up. Just learned some new massage tricks, bet you’ll love them.]
