Chapter 304
Chapter 304
Luna frowned and didn’t say a word.
She couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off.
:..
If Vivian was investigating Lily, it meant her background wasn’t simple at all.
Luna thought, ‘Nina’s words…

‘Last time they caught those killers, Luna saw a few Justice Bureau officers treating Nina as if she were some kind of VIP.
‘Nina must have some hidden side nobody else knows about.
‘And ever since Nina came back, she’d been butting heads with Vivian’s family. It isn’t just about getting
revenge.
“There has to be more to it than that.’
Luna propped her chin on her hand, lost in thought.
Suddenly, she shot to her feet and thought, ‘Nina is digging into Lily’s background, and it looks like Lily is hiding something big.
‘Could Lily actually be a criminal?
‘Oh my god!
‘The Swanson family has been hiding a criminal? This is huge!’
“Luna, what’s going on with you?” Linda asked, her brows furrowed in confusion.
Luna didn’t respond. She just started pacing in circles, lost in thought.
Suddenly, she remembered something. She dashed upstairs and frantically searched her room until she finally found a delivery envelope.
She stared at the name on it, her voice trembling with excitement. “It’s him!”
Linda, who had followed Luna upstairs, gave the envelope in her hand a confused look. “What’s that?”
“Mom, I’m pretty sure I know who Lily’s parents are now!” Luna exclaimed, her voice shaking with excitement.
Linda looked totally baffled. “What? Lily’s parents?”
“Look at this,” Luna said, handing the envelope to Linda. “Do you remember when Lily and I went to Betrico to see Vivian two years ago?”

“Yeah, I remember. But what does that have to do with Lily’s parents?” Linda flipped through the envelope a few times, still not getting it.
“Vivian was busy, so she booked us a hotel. The day before we left, two people came to the hotel looking for Lily,” Luna explained. “She snuck downstairs, and I was worried about her, so I followed.
“I saw a man give her a bank card, and then they started arguing. Lily came back crying.”
Luna had wanted to ask Lily who those people were.
But before she could say anything, Lily asked her for a favor.
Lily said an uncle was sending her something, and it wasn’t convenient to have it delivered to her place, so she asked Luna to have it sent to her house instead.
The delivery was addressed to Luna.
After they got back to Riverdale, Luna received the delivery. She wasn’t the type to open other people’s mail, so she never asked what was inside.
But when Lily opened it, she looked really unsettled. She just asked Luna to hold onto the envelope and said she’d grab it later.
Over the past two years, Lily had come by several times to get the envelope, and every time, she’d just stare at the name on it, lost in thought.
Luna had asked her what it was, and Lily just said it belonged to a friend’s dad, who used to treat her really well, but he passed away. She kept it because she missed him and wanted something to remember him by.
Lily also asked Luna not to tell anyone else about it.
Luna thought, ‘Wait a second, that wasn’t some friend’s dad at all.
‘It was obviously Lily’s father.
‘Lily has known who her parents are this whole time, but she has been hanging around the Swanson family like nothing is wrong.’
Luna suddenly felt a chill run down her spine.
She thought, ‘Wait, could Lily actually be a criminal?
‘And she has got parents out there, but she is not going back to them? This can’t be good for the Swanson family.’
Linda was just as shocked. “So the person who sent that package is probably Lily’s dad. But that’s so strange. If she knows who her father is, why isn’t she with him?
“And from what you said, he looked like someone with money, so her real parents probably aren’t struggling either. So why would she stay here?”

Luna’s brows furrowed tight. She grabbed the folder, her expression deadly serious. “No, I have to go tell Nina. Keeping Lily in the Swanson family is way too risky. We need to get her out before something bad happens!”
As Luna made for the door, Linda rushed to block her. “Are you crazy? If you know Lily’s dangerous, why would you even think about ratting her out? Aren’t you scared she’ll come after you? You’re not leaving this house, you hear me!”
“Mom!” Luna shot back, her voice sharp. “This isn’t some joke. If Lily really has it out for the Swanson family, it’s not just me. None of us will be safe. We have to make her leave, and fast!”

Chapter 305
Linda said, her voice softening, “I don’t care about anything else. All I know is, if you expose her and she finds. out, Lily will come after you first. You’re my baby, my flesh and blood. I won’t let anything happen to you.
“Please, just listen to me. Don’t go. If something happened to you, I’d never forgive myself.”
“I have to go!” Luna snapped back, determined.
Luna didn’t want to waste another word. She bolted for the door.
Seeing she couldn’t talk Luna out of it, Linda snapped, “Someone, take Luna back to her room and keep an eye on her. Don’t let her step out, not even for a second.”
Luna stared at her mom in shock. “Mom? What the hell are you doing?”
Linda said, her voice trembling. “Luna, don’t blame me. You and your sister are all I have. If anything happened to either of you, I wouldn’t be able to live.
“I don’t care about being noble or whatever. I just want my kids to be safe. Everyone else? I don’t care.”
Linda let out a heavy sigh. “In a few days, I’ll talk to Sarah about separating from the Swanson family. We’ll leave this place, and we’re never coming back.”
Luna had just been accepted as Camden’s disciple, a golden opportunity. If they left now, Luna might never get another chance like this again.
None of that mattered to Linda now.
She just wanted to protect her kids.
There was that whole thing with a college student getting trafficked recently, and the culprit still hasn’t been caught.
And now Luna was bringing up how she’d been kidnapped before, too.
And now Luna wanted to go snitch on Lily.
Linda had no clue what Lily’s real deal was, but if Luna was right and Lily was actually dangerous, that would be a total nightmare.
Someone like Lily would hold a serious grudge. Lily hadn’t done anything to the Swanson family yet, and the worst that’s happened so far is that she might get kicked out.
Linda thought, ‘If Lily ever found out Luna was the one who snitched, she’d make Luna’s life a living hell.
Linda shook her head.
She thought, ‘Not a chance.
