325 Chapter 325
325.Chapter 325
At the movie theater, Nina was at a loss for words as she watched Ryan clutch her hand as his life depended on it, shaking
all over.
She pinched the bridge of her nose, sounding totally fed up. “What’s wrong with you? If you’re this scared, why did you drag me here?”
He’d acted all secretive, making it seem like something huge was about to happen. Nina had honestly expected some big
move.
And this was what she got. Just sitting here in the theater, watching him shake like a scared puppy. “Who… who said I’m scared?” Ryan cleared his throat, trying to act brave. “I’m watching, aren’t I?”
Nina thought, ‘Is that what you call watching? Your eyes are practically rolled back into your head.’
Good thing they had the whole theater to themselves. If anyone else were here, they’d probably think he was having a
seizure.
And even though the theater was pitch black, she could still make out that Ryan’s face was ghostly pale.
Seeing Ryan stubbornly trying to act tough while clearly freaking out, Nina flashed a mischievous grin. “Oh, really? This is just the warm-up.
“Just wait till the ghost shows her face, with blood pouring out of her eyes, nose, and mouth. You’d better be ready for that.” As soon as Nina finished her sentence, the ghost in the blood-red dress suddenly whipped her head around on screen. Her face was ghostly pale, with blood pouring from her eyes, nose, and mouth. She let out a shrill, bone-chilling scream. Even though Ryan braced himself, he still flinched hard when the scene hit.
He shot up from his seat, his voice trembling. “I… I need to use the restroom.”
Then, with his eyes squeezed shut, he started feeling his way along the seats, stumbling toward the exit in a total panic. But he wasn’t watching his step, and his foot slipped.
Right at that moment, the ghost on screen let out a blood-curdling scream, and then her chilling voice echoed through the theater. “I found you!” followed by a creepy cackle.
Ryan went completely numb with fear.
Ryan’s fingers were locked around the chair in front of him, eyes squeezed shut, too scared to move.
Nina watched Ryan with a teasing grin, lounging back in her seat. “There’s someone right behind you.” Ryan went stiff all over. “Who is it?” he stammered.
Nina gave him a half-smile. “Why don’t you open your eyes and take a look?”
Ryan grumbled, “My eyes hurt.”
Nina teased, “Why don’t you let them through first?”
Ryan’s scalp tingled. He froze for a moment and then threw a punch over his shoulder.
“Ouch!” Someone screamed. “Are you nuts? I was just here to fix the air conditioning! Why’d you hit me?”
Nina just stared, totally at a loss for words.
Ryan was frozen, not knowing what to say. He cracked his eyes open and spotted someone nearby clutching his eye. Even though he couldn’t make out his face, Ryan could practically feel the anger radiating off him.
Ryan felt his face burn with embarrassment. He cleared his throat and said, “Sorry.”
Then he fished out all the cash from his wallet and handed it over. “For your medical bills.”
The staff member who got punched was stunned for a second He only made a little over 1,000 a month, and now he was getting paid this much just for getting hit.
He guessed there was probably about 1.5 thousand in cash he
‘Man, this punch was totally worth it,’ he thought.
The staff member grinned as he took the cashes Wetandle horror movies, right? I get it.”
Ryan wished the floor would just swallow him
Successfully unlocked!
Nina couldn’t help but laugh, finally letting go of all the bottled up stress she’d been carrying these past few days.
She stood up and said to Ryan, “Let’s go.”
Ryan stayed put. “I can watch.”

“Yeah, sure you can, but I’m starving.” Nina grinned.
Ryan knew Nina didn’t mean it.
Whenever Nina was in a bad mood, she always turned to horror movies.
And every single time, after watching one, she’d be in a great mood.
It was one of Nina’s quirks, and he accepted it.
But he just couldn’t handle watching them.
So, every time he came with Nina, he kept his eyes squeezed shut the whole time.
This time, after getting Simon’s call, he even downloaded a bunch of horror movies on his way over, thinking those were already nightmare fuel for him.
But Nina went and picked ones that were next-level terrifying.
Talk about embarrassing.
In the end, Ryan accompanied Nina out of the theater.
Since the movie was a bust, Ryan took Nina to their favorite park in a mountain.
