When Nina arrived at Morgan’s villa, she could already hear him yelling from inside.

“Put that down! That’s my last bottle of wine. If you dare drink it I’ll kill you!” Morgan shouted.

Morgan rarely showed his emotions. For him to actually lose his temper, he must’ve been pushed to his absolute limit.

Nina stepped inside.

When Morgan saw her, he looked like a kicked puppy. “Baby, you’re finally here! Please, get him out of my house. I can’t take it anymore.”

In just the past couple of days, Vincent had not only drunk all his best wine but also trashed the paintings Morgan had poured his heart into.

The place was a total mess.

If Vincent didn’t leave soon, Morgan was seriously going to lose it.

Nina lifted her gaze, taking in the chaos, then locked eyes with Vincent, her face icy. “Vincent!”

Vincent sprawled on the couch, legs cockily crossed, snorted, “What, you finally bothered to show up?”

Nina strode over and kicked his legs aside. “Sit properly!”

Vincent shot her a sulky look, but still obediently put his feet down.

Nina took the bottle from his hand. “You’re going home today!”

“No way!” Vincent jumped up. “Nina, you’re so heartless! I came all the way here just to see you, and you wouldn’t even give me the time of day. What am I, some kind of troublemaker or something?”

Vincent looked all pitiful.

Nina rubbed her forehead. “I’ve got stuff going on lately. I don’t have time to deal with your drama.”

“But you had time to hang out with Ryan?” Vincent shot back. “He was in Riverdale not long ago, and you were with him every single day. What? You can’t even spare one day for me?”

“Vincent!” Nina snapped, her face cold. “How many times do I have to tell you? I don’t like you, and I’m not marrying you, ever!”

“That’s your problem if you don’t like me. As long as I like you, that’s enough for me,” Vincent replied stubbornly.

Nina just stared, totally at a loss for words.

“Come on, baby, have a little pity on me. I haven’t seen you in forever,” Vincent whined, scooting right up next to Nina and hugging her arm like a koala.

“Look at these bags under my eyes. I’ve been missing you so much I can’t even sleep!”

Hazel gaped at Vincent, completely stunned by his shamelessness.

‘Is this really the same Vincent who’s been going off the rails these days?‘ Hazel thought, totally baffled. ‘Why does he act like a total kid whenever Nina’s around?‘

“Oh, really?” Nina gave Vincent a half–smile. “Come a little closer I want to tell you something.”

Vincent didn’t hesitate and scooted right up to her.

But the next second, everything went black, and he collapsed onto the couch, out cold.

Nina coolly slipped the needle back into her pocket, got to her feet, and told Morgan, “Pack him up and ship him out!”

Morgan’s lips twitched, and he gave Nina a big thumbs–up, looking both impressed and exasperated. “Knew only you could handle that!”

Honestly, Nina was the only one with the guts to knock out Vincent.

Morgan just made a call, and soon a few guys came over to pack Vincent up like a parcel and send him on his way.

Nina didn’t bother sticking around. She just took Hazel and left without another word.

When Nina got back to the Swanson family, Martin and Matthew were nowhere to be seen.

Lily had gone out with Elliott.

Sarah had come home and gone straight to bed.

Vivian was in the living room, clearly waiting for Nina.

Nina didn’t even spare her a glance; she just walked right past her, not giving her the time of day.

But just as Nina took a couple of steps, Vivian suddenly called out, “Lily’s trying to steal the formula your grandfather left behind!”

Nina froze. “What did you just say?”

For a second, she thought she must’ve misheard.

‘Is Vivian really selling out Lily?‘ Nina wondered.

“My mom has never stopped coveting that formula. She wanted me to get it for her, but I refused, so now she’s set her sights on Lily,” Vivian said, her expression serious.

“Lily’s already got someone inside the pharmaceutical company You’d better keep an eye out,” Vivian added.

Nina stared at Vivian, then suddenly smirked, “Mrs. Swanson, isnt Lily the daughter you always doted on? Your pride? So what are you doing now, just tossing your pride aside like it’s nothing?”

Vivian’s expression shifted. “Maybe I just finally woke up, okay? No matter what, I’m still part of the Swansons. If the pharmaceutical company thrives, I get a piece of the pie.
