Sarah was pleased with Linda and Judy’s attitude.
A family should stick together against outsiders, not turn on each other.

Sarah was glad they saw things that way. She didn’t say anything else and let everyone get back to what they were doing.
After the second and third branches of the family left, Sarah turned to Loren and said, “Loren, you can see for yourself. Nina can’t answer your questions right now. Maybe you should head home for now?
“I’ll have someone call you as soon as she wakes up.”
“No way!” Loren insisted. “I’m not leaving. I’m staying right here until she wakes up.”
Melody chimed in, “Sarah, please let us wait here. We’ve come all this way just hoping to see Shirley, and now that there’s finally some news… Even if we can’t do anything, I just want to know exactly what’s happening.”
Sarah didn’t try to stop them and said, “Okay, let’s just wait in the living room then.”
Nina didn’t sleep for long, just two hours before she woke up.
The first thing she did when she opened her eyes was call Ryan. But no matter how many times she tried, no one ever picked up.
Nina tossed her phone onto the bed, a cold, dangerous energy radiating from her whole body.
‘No wonder Ryan barely spoke to me when he came over,’ Nina thought.
He was Scarlet’s direct boss. He’d be the first to hear if anything Happened to Scarlet. But he buried the news.
Nina clenched her fists, her eyes flashing with anger. “Ryan, how dare you?”
Rage shot straight to Nina’s head, and for a moment, she almost lost control.
Nina took a deep breath, deliberately tamping down her irritation, then grabbed her phone and dialed Black Wolf.
As soon as the call connected, Black Wolf’s voice came through. We’re already searching for Scarlet, but get ready for the worst. There’s almost no chance she made it out alive.”
Before Nina could say anything, Black Wolf continued, “And those girls we rescued from the Crimson Syndicate last time? None of them made it.”
Nina felt a chill run through her. “All of them?”
“Yeah! Not a single one survived! Not even a whole corpse left to bury,” Black Wolf said, his usually cold voice cracking with emotion for the first time. “Damn it! Those bastards are animals
“They tortured those girls to death, and even after that, they didt let them rest in peace. Chopped them up and tossed the pieces all over the place.”
Black Wolf couldn’t go on. There were things even worse, so brul that he just couldn’t say them out loud. He was scared he’d completely lose control if he kept talking.
Nina’s fingers clenched so tightly that her knuckles went pale, he voice cold as ice. “Did you find out who’s behind this?”
“Not a chance!” Black Wolf swore, his anger barely contained. “St! Those bastards are like ghosts. There’s not a single trace
to follow.”

She took a deep breath, forcing herself to keep it under control. he had to stay calm. She couldn’t lose it now. There was still so much she needed to handle.
Once Nina had steadied herself, she ordered, “Get everyone out here. I don’t care how, but bring them back, dead or alive.”
“I know. I’ve already got everyone out there. A few of us are personally searching every day,” Black Wolf said, pausing for a moment. “By the way, I wiped out the Crimson Syndicate, but didn’t find anything useful.
“This probably has nothing to do with them. Their boss is still in my custody. What do you want me to do with him?”
Nina’s eyes narrowed dangerously. “You really think they’re not involved?”
Black Wolf was silent for a couple of seconds. “Honestly, I don’t buy it, either. But you know how I operate. If I can’t get anything out of them after putting the screws to them myself, then maybe they really aren’t connected.”
“All that means is the people behind them scare them even more Either they’ve got dirt on them, or they’re holding their families hostage.
