Chapter 413
Owen gritted his teeth. “You did it, and now you won’t even admit it, huh? We walked in and saw you messing with our
research.
Russell couldn’t stand these fools.
Michelle saw Russell’s face turning stormy and quickly blurted out, “Mr. Rowe, Mr. Goodwin, you’ve got it all wrong. Project c175 is already finished.
Owen stared in disbelief. “Wait, what? Are you serious?”
Qadir barked, “That’s impossible. This is a project we couldn’t complete in five months. How could they finish it in such a short time?”
“It’s true. Just look for yourselves,” Michelle said, pointing at the prototype right in front of her.
Qadir sprinted over to Russell’s workstation. When he saw the finished prototype, he was shocked.
Seeing Qadir’s reaction, Owen rushed over to check it out for himself, followed by Wylder and the rest of the stubborn institute crew.
Wylder stared in disbelief. “Nina, did your people actually make this happen?”
He thought, ‘If Nina’s team is this formidable, then she must be a living legend.’
Nina kept her expression flat. “Do you call such an idiotic project S+? Well, the Betrico Zenith Research Institute really surprises me.”
She thought, “These people are just stupid, arrogant, and violent.’
Qadir’s face flushed with shame. They had spent countless hours on this project, and Nina had finished it in just ten
minutes.
He stared at Nina in total disbelief, finding it hard to believe someone just barely in her twenties could be so formidable.
Still stunned, Qadir approached and bowed slightly. “Nina, I’m sorry for how I acted before, I hope you’ll let it go, and we can work on other projects together for the greater good.”
Nina said coldly, “My team doesn’t need useless people.”
Qadir’s face went ghostly pale.
Nina was right. He truly was useless. She did in ten minutes what he hadn’t managed in five months.
Wylder hurried to mediate. “Nina, the medicine is critical. Even if they’re useless, they can help a little. And I can’t just kick everyone out of the institute.”
Wylder gave Qadir a pointed look.
Qadir got the hint and instantly barked, “Owen, you all apologize to Ms. Swanson, now.”
Owen quickly turned to Nina. “Sorry, Ms. Swanson.”
He knew when to compromise.

The rest of the group followed suit, apologizing one after another.
Wylder hurried over to Nina. “Nina, we can’t waste time on the medicine. Orders have already come down.”
Nina shot Wylder a look, thinking, ‘He’s trying to pile the pressure on me. Whatever. I don’t want to waste more time on the medicine than necessary.
“Wrap it up and get ready for the meeting,” Nina said.
When Nina finally relented, Owen and the rest couldn’t help but breathe a collective sigh of relief.
This time, everyone hurried to the meeting room on time.
Nina had Simon throw the data up on the screen, and when everyone saw that wall of numbers packed tighter than sardines, their jaws practically hit the floor.
This project was way tougher than Project cl75.
Nina’s expertise and assignments were precise; each task went to someone skilled, unlike before, when everyone tackled the same problem.
They thought, ‘Nina totally earned her spot as the boss.
Nina said, “This is all the info on the formula. Everyone handles their own part and reports progress at the daily morning meeting. It must be done in a month.”
Nina, seated at the head, added firmly, “From this moment on, no one is allowed to use any communication device to contact the outside. This project is top secret. Anyone who leaks it will be finished.”
Just as Nina finished speaking, the conference room door swung open.
Claire walked in, totally unfazed by the sight of everyone gathered around the table. “Uncle Qadir, weren’t we supposed to be working on… Nina? What are you doing here?”
