Heiress Returns Family Shocks (Nina Swanson) novel Chapter 431

Chapter 431

Sophia was crying so hard she couldn’t even get a word out, just sobbing in frustration.

This time, she was really crying.

She looked like the picture of misery.

Maria and Zachary barely spared her a glance before turning away, completely ignoring her.

Nina casually tossed the tissue into the trash, then went to check out the other boxes.

Inside, there were just a bunch of random, unimportant documents, nothing special at all.

Nina composed herself and shot off a quick text to Black Wolf.

Not long after, Black Wolf called Nina.

“Nina, those ten boxes were shipped from three different ports, and all the sender info was fake. But we did manage to track down one of the transfer points,” Black Wolf reported.

“Where?” Nina asked.

“The guy running the transfer point is Ryder Newton. He and Ryan used to be bitter rivals,” Black Wolf replied.

Just then, Nina’s phone dinged with a new message.

Black Wolf sounded serious. “Ryder and Ryan went to school together all the way from middle to high school, and they even trained side by side at a pro team academy.”

Nina unlocked her phone and saw Black Wolf’s message; it was a full profile of Ryder.

The Newton family had always made their living at the docks, running freight and shipping for generations.

They’d never had any business dealings with the Foster family; the feud between them was as old as time, dating all the way back to their ancestors.

The profile was short, nothing of value there.

Nina said coolly, “Keep tabs on Ryder. I want a ticket to his next event.”

Maria’s expression shifted when she heard Ryder’s name, but she quickly regained her composure. “Nina, you can’t go by yourself. Since you’ve found out this is tied to the Newton family, let us take care of it.”

The Newton family and the Foster family had been at each other’s throats for generations, but lately, they’d kept their distance.

But now that the Newton family was making moves on the Foster family’s turf, there was no way the Fosters were going to back down.

“I’ll hang up now,” Nina said into the phone, then walked over to Maria, phone still in hand. “Grandma, I’ll make sure everything’s handled properly. You really don’t need to worry.”

Nina paused for a moment, then said, “I’ve got some other things to deal with, so it looks like I’ll have to skip dinner tonight. Next time, I’ll come visit again.”

With that, Nina turned and walked away.

Chapter 431

As Nina walked past Sophia, she paused for a moment.

With a quick, practiced motion, Nina pressed Sophia’s jaw, snaping it right back into place.

“You…” Sophia snapped.

She was about to yell at Nina, but Nina didn’t even look at her, just turned and walked off.

Sophia’s face flushed bright red with anger.

Zachary shot her a glare. “Say one more word, and you can get the hell out of the Foster family.”

Sophia immediately fell silent, but she was too upset to bear it.

Zachary didn’t even bother to look at her; he just ignored her and dialed Charles.

As soon as Charles picked up, Zachary barked, “Your daughter just drove my granddaughter-in-law away. Get back here and set her straight!”

Meanwhile, Charles had just hung up when Grace came over, arms full of the latest designer clothes and expensive jewelry.

Grace was practically glowing with excitement. “I put a ton of thought into picking these out. Take a look. If you’re cool with them, we’ll just swipe the card and head out.”

These were gifts for her future daughter-in-law, so of course, Grace was thrilled.

As long as they could win Nina over, not just by sweet-talking her, but by showing real sincerity, Nina would definitely patch things up with Ryan.

Charles let out a heavy sigh. “Forget about the gifts, we’re not giving them to her now. Sophia just made Nina leave.”

Charles’s words were like a cold shower for Grace; she froze for a second, totally blindsided. The moment she realized what had happened, she started packing up in a hurry, dragged Charles with her, and headed straight home.

As soon as they walked in, Grace stormed straight into Sophia’s room.
