He knew she’d do everything she could to help him, but she was still at home. There was no way she could reach him immediately.

The one who could actually get to him fast and get him out of trouble was Black Wolf.

Ryan had Black Wolf’s number.

So no matter what, there was no way Ryan would call her.

Nina narrowed her eyes.

That was an Al-generated voice.

Someone was trying to trick her into going there.

If she weren’t stuck here, she’d already be on a flight to Frontierland.

Black Wolf replied instantly: [I’ll check it out right away.]

At Frontierland Delta District, on the 39th floor of a luxury skyscraper, a man in camouflage stood before another man in a black shirt, about six feet three, with striking silver hair.

“It’s done, just as you said,” the man in camouflage reported.

The silver-haired man smirked. “Good.”

But the man in camouflage never saw his face, because the silver haired man was wearing a black mask.

The black mask completely concealed his face.

The silver-haired man’s eyes flashed with icy menace. “Bring in more men. Turn this place upside down if you have to, but I want Ryan found. If he’s not in our hands by midnight, level this whole block.”

The man in camouflage twisted in terror. “The whole block?”

The silver-haired man was talking about wiping out the entire area, bomb shelters and all. It would take an army and a mountain of explosives just to make sure not a single soul makes it out alive.

And this forty-story luxury tower was the product of decades of blood, sweat, and tears.

Throwing away decades of hard work just for Ryan? That’s way too steep a price.

The silver-haired man snorted. “Blow it up! Ryan’s got info on this place; if we don’t destroy everything, it’ll come back to bite us.”

The man in camouflage gave him a quick nod. “On it.”

In the VIP ward of Riverdale Hospital, Vivian lay in bed, half-pretending, half-genuine, dragging out her illness for days. She’d thought James would at least show her some consideration and not bring up the divorce again.

But to her shock, James showed up with the divorce papers anyway.

James was cold as ice. “Sign it. The amount is exactly what Nina mentioned last time, 1 billion”

It was all spelled out in black and white, not a penny more, not a penny less.

Vivian parted her lips, wanting to say something, but nothing came out. Except for Nina and Morgan, the other three kids weren’t even James’s biological children.

She couldn’t even find the words to beg for a marriage she’d never had faith in.

All she could do was quietly pick up the pen and sign her name.

The divorce papers came in two copies. James didn’t spare her a single word as he grabbed his and walked out.

Vivian’s whole hospital stay had been completely pointless.

Once she was discharged, Vivian headed straight back home to the Lowell family.

When Stella saw her, her face darkened. “Why are you back here”

The gossip about everything Vivian had done at the Swanson family had already made its way back to the Lowell family.

Stella thought to herself, ‘She must’ve only come back because she got divorced!’

Seeing Stella’s attitude, Vivian curled her lips in a mocking smile. “Why can’t I come back? Isn’t this my home?”

Most of the money she’d gotten from the Swanson family over the years had gone straight to the Lowell family, with only a small portion left for her own research.

But the moment Stella said that, Vivian could tell something was seriously off.

Stella clearly didn’t want her back.

Stella’s face was grim. “Don’t go dumping your divorce drama on me, especially now. All you’re doing is dragging the Lowell family into more rumors.”

Just then, a cheerful voice called out from the doorway, “Mom! I’m home!”
