Heiress Returns Family Shocks (Nina Swanson) novel Chapter 464

Chapter 464

Sean and the crew handed back the leftover bombs they didn’t get to use.

On the way back, Elaine turned to Nina. “Nina, who was it that knapped you?”

“Someone I know,” Nina replied, her tone calm and indifferent.

Elaine blinked, a little surprised. “Someone you know? Who was it?”

Nina’s eyes flickered, but she didn’t answer. Instead, she turned to Simon. “Have you found Ryan?”

Simon paused for a moment before saying, “We found the helicopter, but there was no one there.”

By the time their people arrived, the helicopter had already crashed.

There wasn’t a single soul to be found from the wreck.

And Ryan? No one had a clue where he vanished to.

It turned out that the pilot had a heart attack mid-flight and lost control of the helicopter.

Simon couldn’t figure out what kind of bad karma Ryan had racked up.

Ryan had very bad luck recently.

Elaine couldn’t help but comment, “Is Ryan seriously cursed or something lately?”

Simon let out a sigh. “Yeah, looks like it.”

Nina frowned. “Did you search the whole crash site?”

“Yeah, we looked everywhere. No sign of Ryan, and Felix and the medics are missing too,” Simon sighed. “Ryan was alr hanging by a thread, and with all this delay, I’m afraid his chances are pretty slim.”

If the helicopter hadn’t crashed, with Nina there, Ryan would’ve definitely made it out alive.

But now… Honestly, it looked like he really might not make it.

After all, no one could survive that badly injured without any medical help.

Nina’s voice was low and serious. “Take me to the crash site.”

Simon hesitated. “I’ve already sent people to look for him, Boss. Maybe you should go home and get some rest first. You haven’t slept in two nights.”

Whenever Nina missed sleep, her mood would get seriously nasty.

Simon knew how much Ryan meant to Nina, but he also wanted her to take care of herself.

“Go,” Nina said coldly, then closed her eyes and didn’t say another word.

She had to find Ryan as soon as possible.

If someone else got to him first, Ryan’s chances of survival would be slim to none.

Simon threw up his hands and turned to Elaine. “Ms. Sinclair…”

Elaine shot Nina a look and sighed, “Let’s just go. She’s not gonna sleep a wink until we find Ryan.”

Simon said. “Alright.”

The crash site was in Hillcrest.

It was about 500 miles from Betrico.

Even with Simon flooring it, it still took them eight hours to get there.

The helicopter went down into a jungle. Luckily, hardly anyone ever came around there, so no one got hurt in the crash.

Nina circled the area, then said, “Have the person in charge of the search come.”

Simon immediately made a call.

Soon, a man in his thirties walked over.

“Boss,” he greeted.

This was Hannah Hale, the guy who ran Midnight Club’s operations in Hillcrest.

Nina didn’t come to Hillcrest much, so she hadn’t seen Hannah very often.

Nina nodded. “Give me a rundown of what you’ve found.”

“There are just a bunch of villages around here, and we’ve already checked them all. No sign of Mr. Foster anywhere. We’re widening the search now, planning to cover up to 18 miles out,” Hannah reported.

Nina glanced at the place. “What about everyone else? The medical staff who were with them?”

“Nope, not a trace of them either,” Hannah said.

Nina paused for a moment, then said, “Hand me the map for this place, and get me all the details on the villages nearby.”
