If he didn’t get out of there fast, and Richard showed up, things would be a total disaster.

Ethan watched in disbelief. He’d known Alex forever, but he’d never seen him lose his nerve like this.

Alex used to always have his nose in the air, acting all high and nighty. Now he looked like a scared little puppy.

“Who the hell touched my son? Get out here right now!” a thunderous voice roared.

Alex’s face went pale as a sheet. He jolted and yelled, “Quick, someone shut my dad up!”

His men jumped up in a flash and rushed over to Richard.

Richard didn’t even get another word out before the guys dragged him out. But just as they reached the door, Elaine walked in.

She gave Richard a confused glance and stepped inside. When she saw the chaos, her expression shifted. She walked straight over to Nina. “What happened?”

“No big deal,” Nina replied, scooting over to make space for Elaine.

Elaine sat down, frowning, “The place looks like a war zone. You hink I can’t see?”

Before Nina could respond, Elaine pointed at Eric, who was closest to her. “You, spill it. What happened here?”

Eric had barely managed to process that Nina was the boss of Midnight Club. Now, seeing Elaine, he was totally freaking out.

‘L-Lanelle? Oh my, who the hell is Nina anyway? She’s not just the owner of Midnight Club, but she’s also tight with Lanelle?’ Eric thought, shocked.

As Eric stayed silent, Elaine’s face grew stern. “What, cat got your tongue?” she snapped.

Eric snapped out of it and quickly summed things up. “These guys started trouble. Nina shut them down. Then Alex tried to call his dad to teach her a lesson.”

Elaine snorted with a laugh. “Richard the dumbass’s got some serious balls. He thinks he can mess with Nina?”

She glanced at the doorway. “Is that Richard at the door? Simon, bring him here.”

Simon, on standby at the bar, silently said a little prayer for Richard.

Everyone knew Elaine was like a mama bear with her people, especially Nina. Messing with Nina was even worse than crossing Elaine herself. Now things were about to get real.

Meanwhile, Alex’s men had briefed Richard outside the club, and he’d gone pale as a sheet.

Just then, Simon walked over and said, “Mr. Carter, come on in. Is. Sinclair wants to see you.”

Richard’s heart sank. He hadn’t even figured out which Sinclair mon meant as he was hauled inside.

When Richard spotted Elaine next to Nina, his legs turned to jelly. “M-Ms. Sinclair,” he stammered.

“Wow, you recognize me,” Elaine drawled, crossing her legs and wirling her drink with a wicked grin. “Thought maybe your eyes weren’t working.”

“N-No way” Richard stammered, sweat pouring down his face. I might forget everyone else, but not you.”

Damn, what the hell did Alex do to piss off Elaine, of all people he thought, his mind spinning.

“Glad you remember me,” Elaine said coolly, spinning her drink Alex went after Ethan. How are you going to settle this?”

“Whatever you want, Ms. Sinclair, Richard replied. He’d do anything to get out of this mess.

“Forget it. I’m in a good mood today,” Elaine said. “Since Nina already wrecked Alex. I’ll let him slide. But you failed to raise him right, so now you get to pay the price.”

She shot Richard a sideways glance. “Start a livestream and do a pole dance. And then we’re even.”
