Without even glancing at Lily, Ryan barked at the bodyguards, “What are you standing around for? Get her out of my sight.”

The bodyguards didn’t hesitate. They grabbed Lily and dragged her away.

Nina was silent for a moment, and then she set her phone down on the table, looking at Miranda with a lazy expression. “Cheering her on?”

Miranda nodded hard and then suddenly burst into tears, wailing, “I didn’t want any of this. Lily made me do it. She said if I didn’t listen to her, she wouldn’t help me get back home.

She made me smoke and drink, and she kept pushing me to find ways to get money out of my family. She said as long as I acted bad enough, nobody at home would dare mess with me.”

Nina, Ethan, and Elaine just stared in disbelief, completely stunned into silence.

Is she for real? Lily’s a whole new level of weirdness. What kind of legendary idiot does stuff like this? Not even a pig would pull this off, the three of them thought.

Seeing Nina stay silent, Miranda blurted out, “I swear I never did anything wrong. Seriously, all I did was smoke and drink with her, and when she started beating people up, I just stood there and watched.

“I didn’t even want to go after you just now. Lily told me she’d alady talked to my family, and they’d be picking me up next month. If I didn’t help her, I’d be stuck here forever.”

Miranda was wailing, her voice hoarse from crying. “I just want go home. I want to find my dad. I want to ask him why he abandoned me and my mom.

“And I want to know if he never even liked me, why did he take me away from my mom in the first place?
