In Riverdale, at the nightclub, Nina hung up after her call with ward. She then opened her hand to reveal a single strand of hair in her palm.

She handed it to Simon. “Run a test on this.”

Nina didn’t say who the test was for, but Simon had worked with her for so long, he knew her inside out. Of course, he also knew all about her and Scarlet.

Having seen everything unfold, he couldn’t help but notice how Miranda and Scarlet looked almost identical.

Simon had no clue how Miranda and Scarlet were connected, but if Nina wanted a paternity test, then Scarlet must be related by blood.

Simon took Miranda’s DNA sample, looking dead serious. “I’ll personally keep an eye on it.”

The performance on stage kept going, business as usual. But after Alex and his crew stirred up all that trouble, every single customer in the club had bailed.

Now, it was just Nina and her people left in the place. Nina raised her glass to Ethan. “Ethan, happy birthday.”

Even though this birthday was kind of rough, she still wanted to wish him a happy birthday.

Ethan glanced at Ryan, then at Elaine, and finally looked around at the trashed club. Honestly, he just thought, ‘Damn, this birthday was wild as hell.’

As Nina raised her glass, Ryan and Elaine did the same. Both of them clinked glasses with Ethan like they’d known him forever. Then Elaine pulled out a card. “This is from Nina. Theres 6 million on it.”

After a pause, Elaine took out another card. “This one’s my birthday present for you, Ethan. You can use it at any mall to pick out clothes from my brand. Take as many as you want.

“Or, if you prefer, I can have a custom suit made just for you, but it’ll take a while. If you’re willing to wait, that’s fine too.” She was just here to have fun lately, not really thinking about designing clothes.

Ethan stared at the two cards in his hand and gulped. He opened his mouth, about to say something, when Ryan pulled out yet another card. “Happy birthday, Ethan. Here’s 15 million.”

‘Do you guys all have to be this insanely rich? Are you trying to make me look like a charity case or something?’ Ethan. thought to himself.

Ethan stared at the three cards in his hand for a long moment, then finally pulled out Ryan’s. “I’m not taking yours.”

Ryan looked a little taken aback. “Why not? Do you look down on me, Ethan?”

Aside from Nina’s clothes, she usually only designed a dozen or so pieces per season for her to mix and match. Anything else was just whenever she felt like it.

Honestly, if she managed to put out even one piece a quarter, that was already impressive. And now they expected her to whip up four custom suits in one go. She was not feeling it.
