Suddenly, he thought of his past life. The day before Winona's funeral, Rhea had shown up at his door in a luxury car belonging to the Xavier family. That version of her was a far cry from the seventeen-year-old before him. Wearing an expensive designer dress and carrying a high-end bag, she had smiled radiantly as she handed over an invitation to her engagement party with Herbert.

After days of insomnia, Jupiter's complexion had possessed a sickly, pale cast. His eyes, incredibly dark and hollow, had stared at her in silence.

Rhea's lips had curled into a gentle, soft smile. "Make sure you come to my engagement party with Herbert tomorrow."

Leaning against the doorframe, he had laughed out of pure rage. Lips curling and eyes narrowing, he had spat a single, icy word: "Leave."

The next day, their engagement party proceeded as planned. Because Penelope's influence was so massive, the event even drew a swarm of paparazzi. Amidst a hall full of congratulatory cheers, Winona's remains were lowered into the earth.

Jupiter knew she had done it on purpose. She had intentionally chosen that specific day to get engaged.

"Hey." Rhea voiced her confusion.

Jupiter snapped out of his daze, casting her a cold glance. "I'm taking my bike."

They usually carpooled with a neighbor.

After he left, the atmosphere grew a bit awkward. Feeling slighted, Rhea looked down and took a bite of her breakfast.

Sarah was soft-hearted and couldn't bear seeing the girl look so down. She quickly comforted her, "He just wants to get some exercise lately. Don't overthink it."

Rhea bit her fork. "I'm not overthinking it, I just feel like... well... do you think he has a crush on someone?"

Sarah's hand paused mid-air. "I highly doubt it."

"With his personality..."

Rhea thought back to the photos she'd scrolled past on the school forum. As much as she hated to admit it, they really did look like a perfect match.

She forced a smile. "Maybe it's just my imagination."
