Chapter 221 A Staged Farce
When Sherry walked in, she didn’t expect to see two familiar faces first.
Julia looked at Sherry and gave her signature smile. “What a coincidence-we meet here too.”
To be honest, Julia’s payment.didn’t make Sherry happy at all.
It was just money that had originally come out of her pocket-finally finding its way back to her.
She wasn’t the kind of person who thought “the customer was always right” so much that she’d happily sell things to her rival.
She wouldn’t make herself unhappy for a little cash.
She was about to walk over when the two men who’d picked her up earlier lost all their politeness. They even reached out to stop her.
“Your seat is at the back.”
The rows of seats were arranged by status-plus the level of the SC customers.
Sherry looked at the two men right away. If Lucas had sent them, they would never have put her in the last row, right by the door.
“I’m so sorry, Ms. Campbell,” Julia said softly. “Gilbert gave me his ticket, so I get to sit in the front.
“But I’m much nicer than you. I even got you a seat.”
She pretended to be very generous. Compared to Sherry, who’d seemed petty yesterday, Julia made Sherry look bad.
“Enough. Be grateful you even have a seat. Do you have the right to be here otherwise?” Georgé said, leaning close to Sherry and threatening her. “Julia is so kind to give you a seat. You should thank her properly.
“Mr. Harrison isn’t coming today. You really think a mere assistant like you has any right to sit in this spot? Do you think anyone here will respect you?”
The disdain in his eyes was obvious. He thought Sherry had no status at all, Even if she worked for Lucas, no one would really listen to her.

How did they know Sherry and Lucas were supposed to be here?
Maybe when they’d talked at the last event, there had been people walking around who’d overheard them.
But it had just been a normal work discussion. Lots of subordinates reported to their bosses like that.
Sherry just hadn’t expected such a normal conversation to be overheard-and for them to find out about it.
It seemed she’d have to be more careful from now on. Walls really did have ears.
With that, the two of them sat down in the first row.
Sherry was curious what they were up to. So she simply sat down in the back seat-after all, there were two tall, strong bodyguards nearby.
But when the room was full, the manager on stage gave all kinds of opening remarks. He even handed the microphone to Julia. “I heard our goddess is also a loyal SC customer. Could our future superstar say a few words for us?”
“It would be my honor. I really love SC.”
As soon as Julia said that, everyone was stunned by her clear, ethereal voice.
Then the closed door was slammed open.
A woman rushed in suddenly, glaring at Sherry’s seat in anger.
“Are you crazy? What did I ever do to you? You stole my ticket to get in here? I fought with people outside for ages. When I checked the records, I found out you took my seat! How shameless are you!
“I
spent 100,000 dollars on this ticket! You’re guilty of theft-I’m calling the police!”
So this was their trick. The woman looked so angry-she didn’t seem to be acting.
All
eyes turned to Sherry’s seat in an instant.
In fact, not everyone here was fr
Seaseat City.
Because of the gala held by King City and Seaseat City, many people had come from other states to start businesses here.
