Chapter 232 Shares
If they’d still had doubts about what he’d said earlier, they now believed it completely.
How could she get 30% of the shares if she hadn’t achieved something extraordinary?
The Harrison Group was 100% owned by the Harrison family themselves!
No outsider had ever gotten a single share!
You could say Lucas spoiled her-but Sherry deserved it!
So why did Gilbert keep calling such a capable woman useless?
Gilbert couldn’t explain anything. He just muttered over and over, “Impossible.”
How could Sherry have done all this? Julia stared at Sherry. Hasshe really been faking being weak this whole time? Has she been lying to me this entire time?
After thinking about it, that was th
only possibility.
But she refused to admit it. Because in this world, she was the only one who could play dumb to outsmart others!
Many people thought they were good at hiding their strength-thinking they were very low- key, even the Harrisons.
But they didn’t understand: the truly strong people who pretend to be weak never let anyone see their true limits.
“Mr. Harrison, I suggest you think carefully about what you just said. Did you accidentally add an extra zero?” Even though Julia had suffered a crushing defeat at Sherry’s hands, she couldn’t believe Lucas would really give Sherry 30%.
That was 30%-not 3%!
Everyone else thought so. Those shares were too much. Even though her performance was impressive, still….
Surprisingly, Gilbert was the first to speak up. “Well done. Spending so much money on a divorced woman.”
“I’ll say it again-I think Sherry deserves it. She’s worth investing in. I’m not like some people who only run their mouth about loving her but never put a single penny on the line.” Lucas’s

words cut Gilbert like a sword.
“What do you mean? Are you calling me stingy? Unwilling to spend money on my own wife?” Gilbert couldn’t believe it. How dare someone think that about him!
Lucas said nothing-he just stared at Gilbert. The meaning was clear: yes, Gilbert was stingy.
“Do you think I’m like you, giving away something so important? Aren’t you afraid she’ll be deceived by others? I’m not stingy. I’m just worried about her.
“You know-women who stay at home are the easiest to fool. Just because you’re foolish doesn’t mean I am. Are you even thinking straight? Do your family know about this? Would they let you do this?”
Gilbert defended himself, clearly upset. He thought Lucas was just young and impulsive- making such a generous offer when his parents weren’t around.
Has he asked his parents?
There is no way they’ll agree! They’ll definitely take the shares back later!
Thinking that, Gilbert calmed down. “It might seem impressive now, giving the shares away. But you’ll be humiliated when you have to take them back.”
Lucas took out a contract and handed it to Sherry to sign. “I’ll say the same to you.”
“What do
you mean? I didn’t give Sherry anything. I only gave Julia 30%-but we’re different from you. Julia can run an industry on her own. Can Sherry? Isn’t she still working for you?”
“All this talk, and you still don’t want to give it.” Lucas’s words made Gilbert gasp for breath in
anger.
No matter what, he thought giving away so much was impossible. There had to be a catch.
Unable to argue with Lucas, Gilbert turned his gaze to Sherry. “Sherry, the Harrison Group is a charity, This is probably just a test. If you’re sensible, you’ll know you shouldn’t sign this. You’ll offend the entire Harrison family otherwise.”
