Sherry already knew what was going on.
The Campbell family had ulterior motives for letting her go to the banquet.

She didn’t know where Tyrone got all this messy news from, but after watching that group chat for so long, she could tell this information was real.
Teresa had managed to upset the heiress of the Mello family.
Someone had discovered she was just the Campbell family’s adopted daughter.
Sherry laughed coldly when she read that. “So now that everyone knows the truth, they suddenly remember me? And I’m supposed to feel special?”
Dale frowned, annoyed. “Stop with the attitude. If you weren’t useful, we wouldn’t even think of inviting
you.
“When you come back, tell everyone that Teresa’s parents died saving you. That’s why she was adopted by us. And don’t even think about complaining about your ‘little troubles’ at that martial arts school. You’ve been pretending to be sick for years.
“Mom’s patience with you? Her guilt? You used it all up. Nobody in the family can stand you now!”
All the pain she went through, the sickness, the medicine she had to take-he made it sound like nothing.
That school was tough-getting hit there really hurt. But to him, it was just “little troubles.”
Sherry laughed out loud. “Fine! I’ll be there tonight!”
Her laugh made Dale feel uneasy. There was something dangerous behind her smile.
Soon after, Teresa called him, crying. “Dale… even if Sherry says no, it’s okay. I get why she hates me for taking your love…”
“That love is ours to give, and you deserve all of it. Don’t ever talk like that again,” Dale said, his heart hurting.
Look how understanding Teresa was. Then look at Sherry-always acting miserable, like everything bad was someone else’s fault.
She blamed them for not noticing that she was bullied at the martial arts school.
Sure, someone had it out for Sherry, but if it had been Teresa instead, with her bright personality, she would have made friends with everyone.
And if she got bullied, maybe she should have thought about what she had done to cause it.
Teresa wasn’t happy about staying with the Campbell family as a “lifesaver’s daughter,” but they had no choice. They couldn’t exactly say the family had two daughters from the beginning.

She was actually three years older than Sherry, but she always acted so fragile that everyone thought she was younger.
Sherry always had to let her have her way.
This time, when Teresa registered as a member of the Campbell family, she directly had her age reduced by five years.
Someone else was even more excited than Teresa.
“Are you sure Teresa’s mother sold her to the Campbell family?”
Linda Mello looked down at Jean like she was dirt.
Jean-who used to be so proud at the office, even after getting fired from the Bode Group-was being very careful now. “My dear sister, I promise it’s true…”
Slap! Linda hit Jean across the face. “You trash. Who said you could call me ‘sister’?
A child born to a prostitute-with dirty blood in her veins-how could she ever compare to her?
Linda stared at Jean with disgust. If Jean wasn’t a little useful, she would have thrown her out long ago.
That whore actually refused to take the medicine, got pregnant, and ran away.
So when her mom married her dad, the first child in the family turned out to be a whore’s.
As an only daughter who’d been showered with all the love and affection, she was reduced to the second child. She’d never be able to swallow this resentment.
Hate flashed in Jean’s eyes for a second, then disappeared. “Ms. Mello, I promise it’s true. I already found Teresa’s real parents and her brother. Tonight, there will be a scene!
Help Linda? No way. She was just using Linda to get rid of that bitch Sherry first.
Tonight would be the end for Sherry.
The Campbell family’s banquet…
Everyone was there.
Joseph stood up to speak.
