Her Revenge Was His Regret (Shirley and Gilbert) novel Chapter 346

She had no idea why he'd been sent there, but she could make him stay a little longer.

"Fuck! Please, no! I'm so done with this place! I don't know every single detail, okay? I can't explain it all right now!

"Just remember—that man is not Lucas. Lucas would never lie to you. The only reason he hasn't told you anything is that he's scared you'll get hurt!

"And take this to your grave—act like you heard nothing. Don't let anything show! Ahhh—!"

This time, he really did get hit. He yelped like a firework shooting off.

The call ended automatically.

Sherry tensed for a second—was he actually okay?

But no one had ever mentioned the Harrisons having twins.

His parents always said they only had one son.

All the family photos only showed Lucas.

Even childhood pictures had just one kid.

There was no way to hide a twin in baby photos... unless it was a clone?

That didn't make sense either.

Julia was married to Mr. Miller, wasn't she?

Mr. Miller was an older guy.

When they went to Keiperian, the two were already married.

How could she be with someone who looked exactly like Lucas?

Now that she knew the man in the photo wasn't Lucas, more mysteries popped up.

But at least one thing was clear.

If that man wasn't Lucas, then she didn't care.

She just needed to make Julia disappear or send her back to Keiperian.

All this chaos revolved around Julia.

If Julia left, everyone else would leave too.

Wouldn't that be perfect?

Especially since Hector was clearly dangerous.

Asking Tyrone to look into Yelena now would be even harder.

She had no choice but to ask staff at the company to help.

But information from them was usually basic—thorough, but nothing deep.

Still, something was better than nothing.

Sherry went back to her room and slept deeply. This place really felt safe.

It wasn't like being at Gilbert's. She'd never felt it was home, so she'd never slept well.

But one thing was odd.

Julia was always here when Lucas was home.

It was Cathy.

The woman looked pleased by Cathy's fawning.

She treated Sherry worse than a servant.

"I heard you work here as a maid. Guests arrive and you don't clean up?

"Can't even offer to take our shoes? How useless."

She lifted her leg in the air.

"Take my shoes off. Now."

She just shoved her foot right in Sherry's face.

She wasn't just treating Sherry like a maid—she was treating her like a slave.

Worse than Irene ever had.

Back then, Sherry had at least called Irene "Mrs. Harrison."

Now she used her name like dirt.

If that old woman had no respect for her, Sherry would give none back.

Elderly status didn't mean anything. Respect had to be earned. It went both ways.

This woman was even more arrogant. And for some reason, her face reminded Sherry of Irene, but younger.

She looked around the same age as their parents.
