But now she didn’t care whether they liked her or not. Looking at Teresa, she realized they weren’t all that great.

“Those of you watching, if you want children, you should see if your children are willing to give you fifty million dollars. That’s probably more than all your combined assets.”

A lot more.

If their daughters could give them fifty million dollars, their sons would have enough money to get married. They immediately disliked Claire.

“You took so much money and still try to play the victim. You’re shameless!”

“Exactly. What kind of mother are you? You took so much money from your daughter and still blame her. If she were my daughter, we’d treat her like a princess! You’re shameless.”

“Exactly. You cherish your other daughter so much. How much money did she give you?”

Teresa wanted to retort, but she had stayed home since graduation and hadn’t brought in a single penny of income. She was afraid that once she started working, Sherry would steal her family’s affection, which would be a huge loss for her.

Damn it.

She’s exhausted from trying to win the Campbells’ favor.

If only she’d seduced Gilbert. Then she could have come up with fifty million dollars and shut the Campbells up.

“Hey, cat got your tongue? Looks like you’re just relying on your family. No wonder you do nothing but flatter them. You spent that $50 million she gave your mom, didn’t you? How dare you criticize her then?”

“She’s obviously a shameless bitch.”

Teresa was already being laughed at by the rich, but she couldn’t believe even these poor people dared to criticize her in front of so many people. “Shut up! I’m the heiress of the Campbell family! I have plenty of money. You poor losers will never have…”

Before she could finish, Claire slapped her. “Shut up!”.

Teresa was shocked to be slapped. She thought Sherry had hit her and immediately cursed. “Bitch, you hit

me?”

Claire trembled with rage. A bastard dared to insult her. She slapped Teresa again. “Shut up!”

Teresa saw clearly this time. It was Claire who hit her. In front of so many people, especially Sherry, Claire showed her absolutely no respect.

Did Claire think this was a marketplace? People born into poverty are inherently uncultured.

Claire glared at Teresa, gritting her teeth. “Do you want to ruin the Campbell family’s reputation? How many times have I told you?”

As expected, country bumpkins couldn’t be presented in a respectable way.

“I don’t care what methods you use, you must drop the charges and get Dale out. Otherwise, don’t blame me for not recognize you. And don’t even think about calling me ‘Mom’ again!”

Claire had said all that.

She thought Sherry would panic and immediately beg for forgiveness. Thinking of this, Claire raised her chin triumphantly.

Sherry hadn’t expected Claire to try to threaten her like this again. “Mrs. Campbell, stop dreaming. Dale has already been summoned by the police. Even if he’s acquitted, I’ll be satisfied. After all, he’s a movie star. Just the fact that he’s been arrested is enough for the public to imagine.”

That’s what they fear.

Getting Dale into jail wouldn’t be easy. The Campbells had powers too. But he had to go through the motions at the police station.

Even so, the impact on Dale would be enormous. They thought Sherry wouldn’t understand this.

“You did this on purpose! Do you know this will ruin Dale? If you dare let my son get hurt in any way, I will never let you get away with it. Call the police right now and say you were joking!”
