After the two of them walked off, Heather finally caught on. "You mean he's giving her things away?"

She planted her hands on her hips, defiant. "You think you know Lucas that well? He would never regift something he gave to someone else."

Heather hadn't seen how valuable the items in that room really were, so she felt no jealousy—only that they were a pile of junk.

Even if she had known their worth, she still would have refused to believe Lucas capable of such a thing.
