Her Revenge Was His Regret (Shirley and Gilbert) novel Chapter 415

Leo made the same gesture.

"Losing my own things is fine, but I can't lose Sherry's."

Ivy couldn't believe her ears and rubbed them. "My god. It must be the heat. I'm hallucinating. I never thought I'd live to hear the great Mr. Harrison being so gentle and thoughtful toward a woman."

She stared at Sherry in disbelief. "Did you threaten him? That doesn't make sense either..."

Sherry shook her head in confusion.

Leo noticed something even more off. "You two only have one suitcase? Did you pack your things together? Oh my god!"

Everyone's face froze in shock.

Ivy suddenly pressed a hand to her forehead. "We promised to stay calm, remember? Maybe this suitcase only has Sherry's things."

That had to be it. He was only holding it because it was hers, not his own.

"Stop guessing. There are my things in here too. Sherry is going to be my girlfriend."

"Going to be? Why going to be? Wait—" Ivy gaped at Lucas. "You have a girlfriend? Wait, no—going to be means she isn't your girlfriend yet.

"So I still have a chance! But why bring her here if she's only going to be your girlfriend later?"

The sudden news had completely scrambled her brain.

Lucas cut straight through their wild speculations. "Because she isn't divorced yet."

Ivy's jaw dropped. She trembled and pointed at Lucas.

"No wonder you never cared about any of us! You... you like married women!"

She burst into loud, dramatic tears on the spot, sobbing as if her heart was broken.

Even more absurdly, Lucas didn't spare her a single glance. Instead, he gently tucked a stray hair behind Sherry's ear.

"Are you tired? Settle in, and I'll run you a hot bath. Then we'll go get something to eat."

Sherry was utterly stunned. What the heck does that meandoes this girl also like Lucas? And she is that blunt about it?

But Lucas ignored Ivy's breakdown entirely and led Sherry inside.
