Chapter 68
Wendy was fair-skinned and delicate, clearly a virgin.

Liam had been lusting after Wendy for a long time. He had just held Wendy’s hand and touched her thigh. If Jean was slow on her way back, or if she saw Gilbert’s car following her and got delayed, Liam would sleep with Wendy.
Jean said in a coquettish voice, “Would you let another man touch Wendy?”
The thought of Wendy sleeping with another man made Gilbert’s heart leap. He almost couldn’t breathe.
Gilbert’s face darkened, veins bulging on his forehead, and he gritted his teeth, saying each word slowly, “If you dare touch Wendy, I’ll make you wish you were dead!”
Sherry had been gone for a while, but they were still waiting in the same spot.
“Mr. Bode, the Hunts aren’t good people. What if something happens to Mrs. Bode? We can only see the tail of their car now. We should go after them.”
This was too risky. What if we couldn’t make it in time…
They were professionals. They knew how far away they should be to avoid being spotted.
But Gilbert refused.
“No,” Gilbert insisted. “Milton already went there with his men. So she’ll be fine. Make sure Wendy is safe first.”
Milton?
Scott suddenly had a very bad feeling. Milton and Wendy had a good relationship.
But this was Gilbert’s order. He probably wouldn’t do anything underhanded, would he?
Hopefully, things would go smoothly.
However, the next second, Scott got a call. Milton’s panicked voice came through. “We have been in a car accident.
“What?”
Gilbert rushed over like a whirlwind and gripped Scott’s phone tightly. “You better explain what you mean by ‘car accident? Are you all useless? You can’t even drive?”
He practically yelled.
Milton clutched his blood-soaked head. “Someone put something on the road that caused a tire blowout, resulting in a chain-reaction accident. Everyone’s seriously injured.”
He recorded a video. The video showed cars overturned, other drivers arguing with them. It was chaotic.

Chapter 68
They couldn’t count on Milton. They could only rely on Gilbert’s bodyguards.
“Get the car ready and get there immediately! Hurry!”

He had barely finished speaking when he felt the building suddenly begin to collapse. The ground beneath them caved in, and they fell instantly.
Gilbert’s hands were bloodied from the impact. “What are you standing there for? Find a way to get out of here!”
But this dilapidated temple was very old. Every time they were about to successfully climb up, the planks would break and fall again.
Gilbert started screaming for help like a madman. “Help! Help!”
But it was futile. The place was extremely remote. There wasn’t a soul for miles around.
Most terrifyingly, their cell phones had lost signal.
That meant their communication devices had been blocked. They were trapped here.
Clearly, this was all meticulously planned. Gilbert watched helplessly as he fell deeper and deeper into the
trap.
He suddenly remembered the look in Sherry’s eyes when she left.
She seemed to have already guessed he wouldn’t come to rescue her on time, distrusting him from protecting her.
And those words she uttered before leaving filled him with immense terror.
He suppressed that panic. This was a society governed by law. Liam wouldn’t kill Sherry. He would find a way to rescue her before that happened.
After calming himself, he took out some tools he had brought. “Take out all your tools. Start digging. We have to get out!”
She should be alright. After all, she was his wife. Those men wouldn’t dare touch her. Yes, they were just trying to scare her.
After all, no one dared touch his woman!
Sherry was taken to an abandoned factory. She glanced at the rearview mirror countless times along the
way.
