The taxi stopped right in front of the Carter’s house. Cheryl texted Vanessa that she was at the gate and within a minute, her friend had shown up at the entrance.

Hey, girl. The two girls hugged as if they hadn’t seen in each other years.

Technically, since they got admitted into college, they both were engrossed in their personal life. While Cheryl was studying Creative Arts and dancing as a hobby, Vanessa was a student of Architecture who loved traveling and shopping. She also was a hopeless romantic who would find a guy one day and spend the night in his place the next. This was something Cheryl would always chide her for.

She couldn’t blame the guys for swarming Vanessa though. She was pretty and an absolute beauty. Standing at 5’9, she had a slim hourglass figure with long slender legs. Her skin was olive toned, her hair blonde and her eyes were hazel colored just like her dad’s. She also had a one sided dimple on her cheek that gave more allure to her facial features.

As soon as they got inside, Vanessa began to ramble.

I know we haven’t seen each other much and I’m so sorry. Thank you for bringing my stuff. She went to fridge and grabbed the ice container, placing it on the table. I justI needed to stay with Sean. We just had a bit of an accident while we were in bed. I still shudder at the memory.

Vanessa went to grab a wine bottle and two glasses before stopping in front of Cheryl. Can you believe we were trying out a really wild sex position and the floor was wet? No one knew. Not even Sean. Or maybe he knew and just decided to keep shut about it. But in the heat of the moment, just when I had his dick right up in myShe paused. Oh, I’m sorry. I forgot you’re celibate. Wouldn’t want to break your vow by listening to this, would you?

Cheryl snorted. You’re crazy. I didn’t say anything about being celibate.

You refused to fuck anyone after high school and I just thought you wanted to become a nun.

She laughed, wishing her friend would stop teasing her about not dating anyone. She just wouldn’t understand how hard she’s tried to get someone so as to stop thinking of George.

What happened to Sean, Vanessa?

As if struck in the head, Vanessa began to speak with enthusiasm. He fell on his dick. You won’t believe it.

While Vanessa continued to ramble on and on about her boyfriend’s sorry state, Cheryl began to look around the house, wondering why she hasn’t seen Mr. Carter. Was he in his room and didn’t hear their conversation? Or was he just pretending not to hear it? Why wasn’t he coming downstairs to ask his daughter why she’s been sleeping with boys?

Did you even hear a single word I said? Her sharp voice interrupted her thoughts.

Uh?Cheryl responded absentmindedly.

Vanessa’s lips curled downwards as she gave her friend a sympathetic glance. Does this have to do with your mom and dad? I’m so sorry for being selfish. This is why you’re here in the first place and all I did was shove some silly talks in your face.

The last thing Cheryl needed was for her friend to feel guilty for something she didn’t do. So she grabbed the bottle of wine and poured herself some.

Fuck that. I can’t be depressed at home and with you. Let’s go talk about Sean some more.

Vanessa flashed her a smirk and the two girls made their way down the winding stone pathway, their footsteps tapping against the jagged surface. The air was warm and breezy, carrying the faint scent of freshly trimmed bushes and the subtle perfume of blooming jasmine. Small, wellplaced globes were arranged across the path, the freshly mowed lawn stretching into the the road. Towering trees lined the path, their leaves rustling with the gentle breeze.

Vanessa walked ahead, her white dress glowing under the morning sun, leading Cheryl deeper into the huge field. The further they went, the more the world around them felt detached from the grand mansion behind them, as if they had stepped into a secluded sanctuary hidden away from everything else.

At the path’s end, the relaxation spot revealed itself. It was a wooden gazebo nestled beneath an old willow tree, its drooping branches swaying like a curtain around the structure. The gazebo was elegantly simple, with a cushioned bench swing hanging from the ceiling, rocking slightly to the breeze. A low glass table sat in the center, surrounded by plush outdoor chairs covered in blue fabrics.

Beyond the gazebo, a koi pond stretched out, its still water bouncing off the reflection of the sun. The faint trickle of a small waterfall added to the serenity of the space, and for a moment, Cheryl simply stood there, taking it all in. It was peaceful. Private. And the weight of her worries disappeared for a moment.

For a while, the two girls discussed about boys at school, their hot lecturers and Vanessa’s traveling adventure. Cheryl forgot about discussing her parent’s situation with her friend.

It wasn’t until she got home that it dawned on her again. Her mom was sitting in the kitchen, head bent over her cup of coffee while her dad kept moving around the house searching for something to sell again.

With a sigh, Cheryl slammed the door and almost began to cry when she got a notification alert.

Housewarming party is tomorrow. Come in a beautiful dress and we might find you a boy.Vanessa texted.

Cheryl’s mind fluttered at the thought of going to Mr. Carter’s house in a sexy dress while she watched him take it off with his eyes. She texted back, See you tomorrow, Van,before plopping on the bed, a big smile on her face.

Tomorrow, she was going to see him and if the Universe favored her, she could get a chance to fuck him like she’s always fantasised. This was her fucking dream.
