Hired a Gigolo Got a Billionaire (Zoey and Christian) novel Chapter 160

Chapter 160

The day of the Vintara launch had finally arrived, and I woke up with a rush of nerves and excitement coursing through my veins. After months of meticulous planning, attempted sabotage, high-risk pregnancy, and the family patriarch’s heart surgery, it was finally time to show the world what Kensington was truly capable of.

The event was divided into two main parts. Today, Saturday, would be the exclusive gathering for family, close friends, the press, and a handpicked selection of influencers. Everything would take place right here on the Kensington estate, in the vineyards of the Highridge Valley-the land I’d come to love so deeply.

Tomorrow, Sunday, we’d head to Verdania Wine Expo, the biggest wine fair in the South of Verdania, where dozens of wineries would showcase their products to the public. That would be our official introduction to the broader market.

Even seven months pregnant and moving slower than usual, I’d been on my feet since six in the morning, checking every last detail personally to make sure everything went exactly as planned.

The day’s schedule was packed with immersive experiences designed to highlight every aspect of our new organic line. In the morning, guests would tour the vineyards, learning about our heritage and sustainable methods. After that, a gourmet picnic among the vines, complete with special pairings created by our sommelier.

At noon, we’d host the part I was most excited about: the grape stomp. I’d convinced Christian to recreate that magical experience we’d shared in Tuscany, setting up special tanks so guests could literally step into the winemaking process and feel that ancestral connection for themselves.

The afternoon would be more technical, with visits to the cellars and detailed explanations of our organic fermentation methods, followed by press interviews and the company’s official statements. And finally, as dusk settled, the closing party in the mansion’s grand ballroom-live music, more tastings, and the formal unveiling of the Vintara line.

“Mrs. Kensington,” one of the staff members said, approaching as I double-checked the floral arrangements at the entrance. Mr. Joseph is asking for you.”

I smiled immediately. Joseph had insisted on being actively involved in the event, despite Christian’s efforts to make him rest. ” Questo è il mio evento anche,” he’d said stubbornly. “I want to see our Vintara triumph.”

I found him on the main terrace, impeccably dressed in a navy suit chatting animatedly with some of the estate’s oldest winemakers. Though still recovering, he radiated energy and pride

“Zoey, sweetheart!” he exclaimed when he saw me. “Tutto è perfecto! Everything’s perfect! You’ve exceeded even my highest expectations!”

“It’s too early to celebrate, Grandpa,” I said with a laugh. “The day’s only just begun.”

“Nonsense!” he said, waving a hand dismissively. “I can feel it in the air. Today will be a complete triumph for our famiglia.”

Guests began arriving around ten a.m. I was relieved to see Marcus had managed to fly in from Ascia just in time, and even a few members of the international press had shown up. Isabelle and Lawrence floated through the crowd with their usual poised elegance, the perfect embodiment of Kensington sophistication.

What did make me tense, though, was seeing Anthony arrive with Victoria. Both were flawlessly dressed, their polite smiles perfectly measured-and somehow, that made me even more uneasy. Christian noticed my reaction instantly.

“Don’t worry about them,” he murmured close to my ear. “Anthony can’t pull anything here. It’s just family protocol.”

“I know,” I said, forcing a small smile, but I kept a discreet eye on them all the same.
