Hired a Gigolo Got a Billionaire (Zoey and Christian) novel Chapter 161

Chapter 161

The next morning, before heading to Verdania Wine Expo, Christian and I decided to take advantage of having the entire family gathered on the estate to finally share the news about the baby’s gender. With everything that had happened in the past few weeks, we hadn’t been able to plan a special reveal, but surrounded by everyone we loved, this felt like the perfect moment.

We organized a special breakfast on the mansion’s grand terrace overlooking the vineyards. The table was set with the family china, fresh flowers from the garden, and in the center sat an ordinary-looking cake that held our secret: the filling would be either blue or pink, revealing whether we were expecting a boy or girl.

Christian and I already knew, of course, but we wanted to share the news in a sweet, symbolic way.

“What’s this mystery you two are planning?” Joseph asked, his eyes twinkling with curiosity as he eyed the suspiciously plain cake in the center of the table.

“Patience, Grandpa,” Christian said, trying to hide a grin. “First, let’s eat breakfast properly.”

But the anticipation around the table was almost electric. Annie was practically bouncing in her chair, Matthew tried to mask his excitement by making jokes, my parents exchanged knowing smiles, and even Isabelle looked genuinely curious.

Gwen, who had flown in from Euradia just for the Vintara launch, sat between Annie and Matthew. The three of them had already started playfully arguing over who would be the baby’s favorite aunt or uncle.

“Obviously me,” Annie declared with absolute conviction. “I’m the maternal aunt-I have historical precedence.”

“Please,” Matthew laughed. “Uncles are always more fun. I’ll teach him soccer, video games, all the important stuff.”

“You’re both wrong,” Gwen cut in with a mischievous smile. “Valentian aunt wins by default. I’ll make the best food!”

“And I’ll teach him how to escape the chaos you three will cause,” Marcus added from the far end of the table, earning a round of laughter.

Joseph was visibly struggling to contain himself, his hands fidgeting as he stared at the cake like he could will it to reveal its secret.

“Goodness,” he muttered, shaking his head. “This anticipation is killing me!”

“Joseph,” my mom laughed, “you’re more anxious than the parents themselves!”

“It’s my first great-grandchild!” Joseph said dramatically, earning another round of laughter.

My father stayed quiet, but I could see the emotion shining in his eyes. He wasn’t one for big displays of affection, but I knew he was overjoyed at the thought of becoming a grandfather.

After everyone had enjoyed fruit, pastries, cheese, and coffee, Christian stood and reached for my hand.

“Well,” he began, his voice full of barely contained happiness, “I think it’s time to find out whether this baby will be another stubborn Kensington boy or a stubborn Kensington girl.’

“As if there’s any difference,” Joseph quipped, setting off more laughter.

Christian handed me the knife, placing his hand over mine.

“Together?” he asked.

“Together,” I said with a smile.

We cut the cake slowly, everyone leaning forward in suspense. And when the first slice came free, revealing a bright blue filling,

the table erupted-cheers, clapping, laughter, and happy shouts echoing through the terrace.

“It’s a boy!” Joseph shouted, jumping from his chair with more energy than he’d shown since the surgery.

“Matt Joseph Kensington,” Christian announced proudly, his voice thick with emotion.
