We wait in silence for what feels like hours but still, he doesn’t turn up, we’re all slowly losing our patience and I’m fighting with Jonah not to shift and he’s losing his s**t and banging f**k out of my head because I won’t let him out.

“Alpha Calvin, I’ve just spoken with Alpha Marcus and he’s asked me to inform you that he’s had to leave on some last-minute pack business, he said you have the honour of deciding Jacoby’s fate.” What the f**k?

“Do you mean to tell me that on his first official business as Alpha he has f****d off on ‘Alpha business’?”

“Yes, I’m afraid so Alpha, I don’t know any details other than what I told you and that he’s left me in charge until he returns.” Beta John looks just as confused as us by Marcus’s actions.

“He’s run!” Comes the raspy voice of Jacoby.

“What was that?” Calvin steps closer to Jacoby, Jacoby looks ready to s**t himself and I don’t blame him Calvin is one scary fucker when he needs to be.

“He knows that Bethany knows why Zoe toke her, he came down here when I was brought in and Questioned me and I told him everything that happened, he then went on to say he was leaving for a while but that he would be back and he would get his Luna one way or another!” Oh, f**k no he didn’t!

“Hold on, what do you mean Alpha Marcus will get his Luna one way or another? He’s found his mate?” Beta John voices out while looking confused as f**k and I honestly believe this guy doesn’t have a clue about what’s gone on.

“No, he hasn’t found his mate, apparently he has decided that Bethany will be his chosen Luna!” Calvin spits out.

“But she’s a child…I don’t understand!” Beta John looks confused then pissed, seriously pissed and I’m starting to like this guy. Everyone is stuck in silence for a few minutes before Beta John finally breaks it.

“First of all, I want to send my deepest apologies to you Bethany, I am so sorry that two of my pack members put you through this!”

“It’s not your fault Beta John.” She gives him a gentle smile but I can see she’s struggling.

“Thank you, Bethany, however, this will be dealt with. Obviously, we all know that Zoe is dead but we still have this a*****e to deal with, does anyone have anything they’d like to say in regards to this?” Before anyone has a chance to react, she dives straight back in.
