Marcus looks at me before settling his gaze on Liam, he seems to be considering his words before speaking.

“Beta Liam, your mate Sarah isn’t actually your mate, not your true mate, she is my second chance mate!” What the f**k is he talking about? I can see anger spread through Liam at him saying that Sarah is his mate and not Liam’s but I don’t see him get any kind of urge to kill him which is how it would normally work and I’m pretty sure Marcus has noticed it.

“What the f**k are you talking about? If this is another mind game of yours don’t bother!” He assures me it’s not a mind game and without warning goes on to tell us everything about him meeting Sarah at the ceremony, their plans, and his change of mind.

I’m floored and I know I’m, not the only one, none of this makes any sense but yet there’s a part of me deep down that thinks it could be true with how Liam’s been acting, I’m ashamed to admit it but a part of me hopes it is true, it would explain a lot for me.

In the midst of my own confusion, I quickly realise that while he’s been bragging to Liam about Sarah, he’s also confessed to wanting Bethany as his Luna.

“When I was told you wanted me as your Luna, a part of me didn’t want to believe it, but it’s true, it’s actually true!” Beth has finally spoken up, shock and confusion spread across her face, I look over to Liam and I can see him tense up with a confused look covering his face.

“It is true Bethany, on the night of my ceremony I planned on keeping you there with me but then Jacoby and Zoe messed everything up and I knew I needed a new plan which is where Sarah came in. When I think back to it now, I’m glad I didn’t get the chance to try and kidnap you, it was wrong and I know it won’t mean anything but I am truly sorry for what I planned Bethany!”

“Do you seriously think apologising will help? will make it all better? because it won’t Marcus, she’s a f*****g CHILD!” Ashley bellows out as he starts losing his s**t, he moves closer to Marcus before Jack quickly steps forward and pulls him back whispering in his ear and calming him down.

“If you’re as sorry as you say you are then prove it!” Bethany steps closer to Marcus but Liam’s arm shoots out in front of her stopping her from going any closer, I doubt he even knows why he’s doing it.

“How can I do that?” He looks straight at her making me want to knock him the f**k out.

“I want the truth…did you arrange the attack on moonshine? Did you kill my family?” She steps closer to Liam while waiting for the answer, she’s got a stone-cold look on her face but I can see her body shaking.

“I arranged the attack yes, I also killed Harley but no one else from your family!”

“And Carly?” He nods his head, not saying a word and I feel everyone’s anger rise at him admitting it and the heartless bastard doesn’t even try to look sorry. Brooke folds herself into my side at his admittance, I wrap my arm around her whispering soothing words to her while I see her fighting to hold back her tears and I want nothing more than to f*****g end him right now but I know more answers are needed but I know he will die for this!

“How could you? Why would you do that?” Bethany struggles to get her words out and moves in closer to Liam as if on instinct he puts his arm around her shoulder as Brooke leaves my side and appears at the other side of her to comfort her, I want her at my side but I know they both need this.

“I just wanted what I was owed Bethany, everyone knew I should have been Alpha including the Alpha himself but everyone was too p***y to admit it. If you want to blame anyone for the attack then blame him, I offered him a different way, all he had to do was hand over the title to me and everything would have been fine. I told him I would wipe the pack out if he didn’t but he went and laughed in my face so really this is all his fault!” Is this guy f*****g serious!

Bethany stays quiet before she lunges forwards and starts beating the f**k out of Marcus, I don’t know if we’re all shocked or giving her a moment to vent her anger but either way no one stops her until a few minutes have passed.

I move over to her, wrap my arm around her waist and pull her back, as I’m pulling her back I hear a small growl and I know it’s from Liam, he doesn’t mean any harm to me, it properly came from Jonah and I choose to ignore it for Liam’s sake. I place her back on her feet while keeping a hold of her but she isn’t calming down.

“Bethany, we need more answers from him before anything can happen to him, I know you are angry sweetheart, believe me, but we need to wait, can you do that for me?” Finally, she settles a little and nods to me, I need to keep things going before she or Brooke completely c***k.

“Jack, can you go and get our visitor and update her on the way please?” He knows straight away who I’m talking about as he disappears to get our witch.

“Liam, can you link Sarah and ask her to join us please brother?” He nods my way as his eyes glaze over, after a few seconds he lets me know she’s on her way, he sounds seriously pissed off and I just wish we could have helped him before all this happened because I can’t imagine what’s going through his head right now.

“I know you’re upset you’re not going to be my Luna now Bethany but it’s for the best!” Marcus has a sick smirk on his face as he speaks to her and it’s the final straw for Liam as he storms over to him, throwing a punch so hard his head snaps back and I hear the crunch of h is nose breaking under Liam’s knuckles.

But that prick never learns as he looks up to him with a smirk and I can see that Liam’s about ready to end him, I move to stop him but Ashley is quicker as he drags him away. Liam tries to fight him off but gets distracted by the voice of Beta John as he speaks up for the first time since he arrived here.

“Alpha Calvin, would it be ok if I say something?”
