Beta Liam

The BBQ is tonight and I can’t wait! It’s being thrown as a makeup party for Ashley after the disaster of his birthday party and to celebrate me finally being back to my normal self, of course, it’s also being thrown for Jack to propose to Ashley.

Most people keep that moment personal and just for the two of them but I have to admit this is the perfect way Jack could propose, Ashley is bold and lively and loves nothing more than a good party surrounded by everyone he loves and to make it even better Jack decided last minute to make it fancy dress so most of the pack has cut work early today to get costumes. Ashley is going to love it!

I and Cal are covering everything that needs doing including Jack’s duties so he can concentrate on the party, which means we are leaving Brooke to pick up our customs, for the love of the goddess I hope Brooke plays nice!

I left the pack lands after lunch to visit a neighbouring pack, they recently lost their Alpha during an attack and now his 18-year-old son has been left to take over and he’s struggling so we are trying to help him, we were allies with his dad and have decided to honour the alliance with his son but honestly, he needs a lot of help and a huge kick up the a*s.

It should have been a quick visit but instead, it resulted in a 3-hour trip and a huge headache for me! And if that isn’t bad enough, I’m still on my way home and the BBQ has already started, I don’t mind being late but we have Alpha Romero, his Luna and Alpha Tito plus some of their higher-ranking members attending tonight.

All of the members that have come with them are unmated so they are properly hoping to find their mates at our pack, Alpha Tito is still unmated to and at 25 I know he’ll be getting nagged to death about it.

Finally, I pull up and head straight for my room to grab a quick shower and change, I link Calvin and let him know I’ll be with him shortly and pray Brooke has been kind to me with my costume.

“Liam your costume is hanging up in your closet!” Brooke chimes in my head as she links me. She sounds like she is either smiling or laughing and I get the feeling I’ve been screwed over here somehow.

Ahh f**k it, it’s all for a laugh and good cause and I’ve never been one to shy away from a challenge so bring it on, whatever she has got me I’m just going to enjoy it and tonight!

After the quickest shower of my life, I brace myself for the reveal, I head into my closet and I see it, it’s a…a rabbit costume, pink shorts, pink tank top, bunny ears and tail and a giant carrot plushy…well played Brooke, well played! Ahh, f**k it Let’s do this s**t! I get dressed in the outfit and head for the party, Egar to see my girl and she best be dressed as a nun!

The BBQ is most defiantly in full swing, I’m not sure who actually arranged this but whoever it was done a seriously good job, it’s outside on the pack lands with a huge canopy overhead that’s draped in fairy lights, there’s a DJ set in front of a huge light-up dance floor, there are two bars, one on either side of the dance floor and loads of table and chairs scattered around the place and of to the side of the canopy there are 6 huge BBQ grills cooking up a storm!

It is bright and colourful and reeks of fun which is exactly what this pack needs right now, it’s also fancy dress which is always fun, Brooke was in charge of Calvin and Liam’s outfits as they had to work but she won’t tell me what Liam’s is yet, said I have to wait and see and the suspense is killing me! Where is he?

Brooke has dressed up as a cowgirl and she teamed Calvin up as a cowboy, she has gone the whole nine yards and I must admit they look good. Ashley has come as Batman and Jack as Robin, seems quite fitting really doesn’t it. Katie has come as a fairy and the girl looks good, I can see she’s feeling shy but she has no reason to, I wish she could see how beautiful she is, inside and out.

I find my mind wandering back to Liam when thankfully Brooke pulls me over to her and I’m giving the perfect distraction as she introduces me to everyone from the other packs. Alpha Romero and his Luna Tiffany have come with their Beta Alessio, top warrior Wyatt plus 5 other warriors and 4 she-wolves and they are all unmated, then there’s Alpha Tito, his Beta Colton, his Gamma Jayden and 3 other warriors and 6 she-wolves, every one of them is unmated, everyone seems so nice and I find myself hoping that some of them can get lucky tonight and find their mate.

“Hey pretty lady, let’s go shake our booties!” I turn around to be greeted by a beaming Ashley, I swear this guy is always up for a party. He takes hold of my hand and drags me along to the dance floor, stopping twice along the way, once to take hold of Katie’s hand and then to give Jack a quick peck as we pass him.

Soon enough we are dancing and laughing without a care in the world and it feels like the last couple of months haven’t happened, I feel free! Katie is beaming too; she has come out of her shell so much since I meet her and just as I suspected everyone loves her just as much as I do. Brooke joins us for a short time before she needs to sit back down, the poor girl isn’t having it easy with her pregnancy.

“Oh yes baby, this is what I’m talking about!” Ashley screams out full of excitement, he starts swinging his hips and sticking out his a*s and I soon realise his excitement is over the song that has come on, Peter Andreas mysterious girl, both I and Katie bellow out with laughter before we join him, you know what they say if you can’t beat them, join them.

Finally, I arrive at the party, 2 hours late but I’m here and ready to blow off some steam! the moment I step inside the canopy Brooke bounces up to me.
