It’s early morning but I’m up, showered and dressed by 5.30 am, I’ve barely slept but I don’t even feel tired, it’s my girl’s birthday today, she is 16, 16.. 2 more years and she’ll be all mine and I can’t f*****g wait! I’m torn between happiness that she’s finally another year older and sadness that I still have another 2 years to go, it’s all I’ve thought about all night.

I decide to head out for a walk before I can see her but as I arrive on the Gamma floor I can hear Willow’s cries, loud and angry, the poor girl is teething and struggling with it bad, it seemed like the moment Ashley and Jack finally got her settled and she started sleeping almost all night her teeth kicked in and now their back to square one.

“Guys, which one of you is up?” I link them both.

“We both are, is everything ok?” Jack quickly links back.

“Yeah, I’m on your floor!” Within seconds the door opens and poor Jack looks exhausted while Ashley is leaning on the counter half asleep making coffee, they both look like they could cry!

“What’s going on? Why are you out so early?”

“I couldn’t sleep, was heading out for a walk before breakfast when I heard the princess!”

“She’s barely slept, we’ve done everything we can for her, I just wish we could take the pain away!” These two are both suffering from serious dad guilt! I walk over to Jack and scoop willow up and bring her to my chest as she wails and kicks out.

“You two get yourselves back to bed, I’ve got this little one!”

“It’s ok, we’re fine!” Ashley barely gets out.

“That’s a lovely story, now bed, both of you! I’ll get her dressed and take her out for some fresh air while you too get some rest, we’ve got a party to attend tonight and I expect you to be looking sexy and ready to shake your fine booty for me!” I shoot him a wink which he quickly returns with a cheeky air kiss as Jack just chuckles out at our usual antics.

“Oh, baby I’m always ready!”

“Good glad to hear it, now bed!” They don’t even try to argue with me this time, they just kiss Willow, thank me and head for the bedroom.

“She’s due a bottle in one hour!” Jack hollas back.

I make quick work of getting her wrapped up warm, make 2 bottles and pop her in her stroller, I check I have the essentials for her before we leave the Gamma floor and head outside, the fresh air will do her good and even if it doesn’t settle her at least Jack and

Ashley can get some sleep while I try and settle the little beauty in front of me.

1 hour later, we are making our way up to my floor when I get a link from Cal telling me to head to his, willow finally stopped crying and went to sleep 30 minutes ago which is great for her, she needs the sleep so much that I’m not waking her up for her bottle, she’ll wake up when she’s ready to eat.

We arrive at Cal’s to find the lounge full of balloons and banners and a stack of presents under the window. I hear a giggling Bella and look across to see her being entertained by Rose’s bubbly almost 3-year-old daughter Danielle! I leave willow in her stroller while she’s still sleeping and head over to the kitchen where Calvin is already making the coffees. “She’s in her bedroom, made her promise not to come out until I say… I can’t believe she’s 16, 2 more years brother!” I hope these next 2 years go by quick because this is getting harder and harder every day.

“Can I ave a drwink peas afa cavin!” Danielle looks up to us both, she has big brown eyes and the cutest face.

“Of course angel, go sit down and I’ll bring you some juice!”

“Fank you!” Her cute baby talk always melts my heart! A few days after we found her and her mom, Rose told us her story and it was heartbreaking, luckily Danielle doesn’t know that much and so it had little long term effect on her but Rose…I’m not sure if she’ll ever trust another man.

They are both incredible and became official pack members within 2 months, Rose started training with the warriors and she’s doing incredible while little Danielle has fitted herself in with the kids like she’s always belonged here.

30 minutes later and everything is ready me, Calvin, Brooke, Rose, and the kids are all in the lounge waiting on Jack and Ashley to arrive before Beth can come in, they soon arrive and Ashley wastes no time in stealing a now awake willow out of my arms, Jack takes a sleeping Levi from Calvin and they snuggle up on the love chair together.
