His Plump Mate (Book 1: The 'His' Series) novel Chapter 437

Kaia POV

All week, I have been keeping busy. I have been trying to keep my mind off of the court date. My husband is keeping his distance as the restraining order is in place. Mr. Fellman said the calls had stopped but that my husband enlisted a new attorney.

“I won’t lie, that attorney is an asshole. He still won’t win with the evidence you presented. However, he may try to contest the prenuptial agreement.”

“But the stipulations are clear in the agreement.”

“I know. It’s a good thing you two never consummated the marriage. I took the liberty of setting up a doctor’s appointment for the morning of the court day. Since the case isn’t going to be heard until one in the afternoon, I booked it for nine in the morning. I’m sending you the address. It’s another doctor on the approved list. I would like you to get a signed affidavit from the doctor along with a copy of any medical records you can get before you leave that still shows that you are still a virgin. Can you do that?”

“Yeah. I’ll have my friends go with me, just in case.” I said.

“Good. Don’t go alone. I will meet you at the doctor’s office after the appointment to discuss what you will need to say and the rundown of questions you could be asked.” He said.

“Alright. Send me the location for the doctor office.”

We hung up and Isaiah was listening the entire time. We have had a great week together. When I’m not helping Sinclair with her search, I’m with Isaiah. He finds new ways to drive me out of my mind in bed without actually going all the way. He is so damn passionate that I think I may not have a chance to breathe once this is all said and done. I won’t turn him away either. If anything, I’m just as anxious to mark him as he is to mark me.

“You are going to another doctor?” He asked. “How many times to you have to verify that you are untouched…well…visibly untouched.”

I chuckled, “It makes sense, Isaiah. My husband got an attorney that is just as tough as mine. This is our smoking gun. Mr. Fellman has to produce the evidence to my husband’s attorney by law. If he tries to pick me apart on that one piece of information, the judge may decide that I need another evaluation and it will delay the divorce.”

“Why does he need to meet you at the doctor's office? Is he trying to act like a doting boyfriend or something? Because that’s my job, not his.”

I walked over to where he sat on the bed and wrapped my arms around his neck. “You are much more than my boyfriend and you know it.” I said, kissing him.

“Damn right, I am.” He said. I kiss him again and he starts feeling my ass and squeezing. I moan into his kiss, and he stands and lifts me up and pushes me against the wall. He starts grinding against me and I know when we do mark each other it’s going to be intense.

Even through my clothes he is making me build to that exquisite feeling only he can give me.

“Isaiah.” I mewled.

“I can’t wait to have you for real baby.” He said as the friction is pushing me over the edge and he kisses me to muffle my scream.

It’s now the morning of the court date. I have just finished with the doctor appointment and Sinclair and Isaiah are both with me to meet Mr. Fellman. Isaiah is standing close and I can tell he wants to put his arm around me but is holding back.

‘I’m doing much more than marking you, trouble. You wait and see. I’m tying you up and not letting you out for at least a couple of days.” He growled, part playfully, part seriously.

‘I can’t wait for this to be over.’ I said.

We finally get to the courthouse and Mr. Fellman opens the door for me. I stepped out with my medical records in hand and went inside.

‘Good luck, baby.’ Isaiah said.

I’m full of nerves. I really need this to be done today. I don’t want this to drag out. I hired my attorney because he said he could get it done. I am so worried that something will go wrong.

For now, I school my face and walk into the court room. As soon as I do, I see my father and my husband. Of course, my dad would be on my husband’s side. They both narrow their eyes at me.

“Kaia.” My father said. “Stop this madness, now!” He whisper yelled at me.

“Hello, father.” I said and then walked past him.

I locked eyes with my husband. The man who has treated me like garbage and hurt me in so many ways. “Hello, husband.”
