Thalia POV
It’s been three weeks since the rogue attack. Julian was behind it, and it really pissed off Aiden and Adrian. Since then, both men have put extra guards on Sinclair and me. We walk around like we have our own entourage now. It’s distracting.
Sinclair is not used to having this kind of protection yet. I have grown used to it, though, and I normally talk her through some of her frustrations. Adrian also has guards around the nursery at all times.
Aiden has always had them there, but Adrian may have gone a tad overboard. They line up to the stairs now. Before it was just four warriors; now it’s ten, and there is no room for all of them unless they line up to the staircase. When I spoke to Aiden about it, he shrugged his shoulders and said he agreed with Adrian.
Sinclair has laughed to prevent herself from crying. We both feel suffocated. However, Sinclair has been in the tech center these last three weeks. She said she needs to leave soon, and she is coming up with an unassuming communication device so she can keep in contact with Adrian. Otherwise, he will make it impossible for her to leave.
Her skills have multiplied into a world of limitless creation. After receiving her gift from the Moon Goddess, she has done all kinds of things for the security of the pack, not just at Blackstone, but also for Ironclaw and Blue Moon. Reid has been making more visits recently. Our timeline is narrow now. We have less than five months before the war.
As I am going through some paperwork for supplies, Sinclair came to my office. “Hey, got a second?”
I smiled. “You know I do,” I said as I waved her inside.
She sat down, and I knew what she was going to talk to me about. It’s time for her to leave for the Lion’s Den. She needs my help.
“My communication device for this mission is created. I have also inspected all the gloves that have been created. All of them are tested, working, and ready. I am leaving tomorrow.”
I put my hands together. I know it’s time for her to leave. I knew it was coming. I was also told to stand by her decision by the Moon Goddess. I know she is going to help me tip the scales in the war. It does not mean, however, that I like this. Because I really don’t, not one bit.
I sighed heavily. “I knew this day was coming. I don’t like it, but I know you have to go. Before we talk to the guys, I need you to promise me that you won’t be reckless. Promise me, you won’t play the hero. Do what you need to do, and get the hell out.”
Sinclair smiled at me, with the gentle smile I’ve grown used to seeing her give me ever since she completed the blood pact. It’s the one where she recognizes what everyone is telling her and comes from a place of love. It’s a smile of understanding and gratitude.
“Thalia, I can firmly promise you that I intend to return in one piece. I have a whole family, filled with parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews. I intend to be here for them. I have my own family with my mate, and I want to see my pups grow up. Besides, Adrian wants five pups, and I want six,” she smirked.
I laughed. “Does Adrian know that?”
“Not yet, but he will,” she said, and then she became serious. “Thalia, if something happens to me, though, remember your promise to me.”
“I won’t forget my promise, but I think you will be back, too. Do you know how you want to play this out for the ears of the spies around?”

What happened to the storyline? After Chp 100 it is a completely different story! This is terrible!...
So many missing chapters and repetitions. A different story altogether from chapter 101...
