My blood is pumping. I wanted to tear all these fuckers apart.

Thalia is listening into her earpiece. “Ronan and Candy are coming from the Southern border. Julian is not with them.”

Sinclair and I look at each other. We know we want those two bastards.

‘Does anyone have eyes on Julian?’ I called out in the pack link.

‘Not from the Northern gate,’ one warrior said.

‘Not on the Western side,’ Rory said.

‘Stay vigilant. Ronan and Candy are coming up from the Southern border,’ Thalia said. ‘Ronan isn’t with them.’

Just then, we hear sensors from the Northern gate and the howl of intruders once again. ‘Julian is spotted. He isn’t alone. There is an elder with him.’

‘Who is the elder?’ Aiden asked.

‘Not sure,’ the warrior said.

“Could it be Vorath?” Sinclair asked.

“Why bring him?” I asked.

Thalia isn’t sure either and gives us a confused look.

‘Aiden, it could be Vorath,’ I said in the link.

‘Noted. Dad, Renz, Reid, Isaiah, and I are going over there now. Don’t let your guard down. They could be using this as a diversion.’

“Stay vigilant. Aiden thinks this could be a diversion,” I said to Sinclair and Thalia. I sent the communication through the pack link as well.

Aiden opened the link so Sinclair, Jonah, Rory, Thalia, Mom, the warriors, and me could hear.

‘Julian, why are you here?’ he asked.

‘I think you know why, Aiden. Your back continues to interfere in my affairs. Elder Vorath is here to give you a decree. Blackstone is to stand down.’

‘Stand down? You’re in my pack. I am under no obligation to stand down to you. You have no jurisdiction here either, Elder Vorath. You are part of the Eastern region. Julian’s pack is in the Southern region as well. Under whose authority are you able to issue any decree in the Southern territory?’

‘Alpha Aiden, like it or not, I’m still an elder. I have already consulted with your elders, and they have given me authority to come here to issue this decree. You need to stand down while we search Blackstone for Mia Moreno and Sinclair Cross.’

I growled immediately. There is no fucking way this asshole is leaving with my mate. Thor wants to run there and tear into Julian, but Sinclair holds my arm. “Calm down. This is a setup. We need to keep an eye on our border, Adrian. This is smoke and mirrors.”

Thalia is on her cellphone. “Edgar, Elder Vorath is here saying the southern council permitted him to issue a decree against Blackstone. Is this true?”

I look at the expression on Thalia’s face and immediately know that everything Vorath is saying is complete and utter bullshit.
