Aiden POV

This motherfucker is going to fucking die. Leon pulls a shift when Julian does. We are now snapping and snarling. Julian is trying to swipe me, but I am on the attack. More of his warriors come in, and then Dad, Renz, Reid, Isaiah, and the warriors all shift and start fighting back.

We didn’t think that the Western side would get breached because it is mountainous. I called Rory, Jonah, Mom, and a wave of warriors to come to the Northern gate. We are all fighting and bringing down the warriors. I know Thalia is pushing out gifts to all of us. The silver-resistant gift is in full swing. Plus, we are all twice our normal size. We are all fighting hard.

Our Moon-Blessed warriors are using their gifts, too. Even with every gift and ability at our disposal, these Maws are not going down easy. You really have to either rip out their hearts or tear their heads off to kill them.

I feel the first warrior’s tether snap, signaling his death. There is a howl that follows. I don’t have time to figure out who it is, and I keep fighting. We are all feeling the pressure to kill these fuckers.

Suddenly, Isaiah pulls a shift back into his human form. He screams, and he is badly injured. Mom pulls shift and runs to him immediately.

“GET HIM OUT OF HERE!” She screams.

Just as two of our warriors pull him away, another maw is about to pounce on Mom. I see Rory drag her talons out and rip his heart out from behind. She is as brutal as any of us Willis men. More deadly too – because she NEVER breaks a nail.

We keep fighting, and we start picking off the maws. Meanwhile, I don’t have eyes on Julian anymore.

‘WHO HAS EYES ON JULIAN!?’ I screamed urgently in the pack link.

No one answers, and I don’t have time to search because Leon is fighting two maws at once. Jonah sees me and jumps to my aid. He bounces one off of me and starts fighting that one. Rory and Dad are tag-teaming with Renz and Mom, taking out several maws.

I have felt the tethers of six warriors snap. It’s killing me. I have to keep fighting, though. We are, by far, the only ones getting through the maws here. I still don’t see Julian, though, and it’s making me uneasy.

‘DOES ANYONE HAVE EYES ON JULIAN?!’

No one is answering. I start looking around and see maws all around us, but no Julian. Where the hell did that bastard go? We are fighting endlessly, and I know we are getting worn down.

Suddenly, I feel a surge of energy go through the entire pack link. I can’t explain it, but energy flows through us. I looked at Mom, Dad, Rory, and Jonah; they looked just as surprised, but grateful. Apparently, Reid and Renz feel it too, because they are looking stunned.
