His Regret Arrived Three Days Late novel Chapter 100

As Annika reached the station exit, something made her pause and slowly turn back.

At that exact moment, someone in the shadows raised a phone and snapped a picture of her, sending it instantly to Conrad.

Conrad stared at the photo on his phone. Her vacant eyes, her desolate posture—each detail was like a needle piercing his heart.

Another 'ding'. A second picture popped up from the anonymous contact on WhatsApp. It showed Hank, hiding in a corner, gazing after Annika with a look of pure adoration and longing. The image set Conrad's eyes ablaze with fury.

What a touching scene. A pair of devoted lovers torn apart.

He deleted the anonymous contact. But strangely, every time he deleted it, it would inexplicably reappear in his contact list. This time, Conrad blocked the number.

The account was gone, but the two photos were seared into his mind.

'Annika,' Conrad cried out in silent agony. He couldn't bear it. His woman, carrying his child, was pining for another man.

He slammed his fist on the desk, sending stacks of documents scattering to the floor.

Hearing the crash, Nolan rushed in, only to be met with Conrad's furious shout, "Get out!"

Nolan didn't dare say a word and quickly retreated.

That night, Conrad didn't return to Scent Haven. Annika didn't call to ask where he was.

The Sargent Group had been in a financial crisis for a while. When Harvey came to Scent Haven to see her, she could barely muster any interest. She had once fought desperately to save her father's legacy, but now she felt so defeated that she was tempted to let it all go.
