We finished telling everyone goodbye, and Leandro let them know that he’d be back in a little bit. When we

got out to the SUV, he put Veer in his car seat and then helped me in the car. I got Veer buckled in, and once Leandro was in the car and we had our seatbelts on, we were on our way.

When we got back to the bakery, we pulled around to the back of the building, and I unhooked the car seat from the base. Leandro came to my door, and I handed Veer and the car seat to him and then got the base out. After getting my purse and diaper bag, I got out of the car, Leandro took the base from me and then

followed me to the door.

After I let us into the back of the bakery, I shut and locked the door back. Then I led Leandro up the stairs

to my apartment. When we walked through the door, Dove and my brothers were watching a movie and

talking. I made introductions to everyone and then led Leandro to Veer’s room.

After getting him out of his seat, I changed his diaper and then laid him down in his bed and tucked his

blar ky around him. I sat the car seat, base, and diaper bag beside his door and led Leandro back out after

he kissed Veer on the head. I heard him whisper, “I love you, little man. I love you and your mommy so

much. I’m sorry that I missed so much already, but I’m here now, and I’m not going anywhere.”

He followed me into the hallway, and I shut the door part of the way. The main baby monitor was on in Veer’s room, and the other piece was in the living room. I knew that Dove would turn it on. I turned

towards Leandro, and he said, “I need to get back home. I have an early day tomorrow. I’ve got to be at the

office at three in the morning for a video call meeting. If I didn’t have it, I’d stay and get to know your

brothers and friend,” he told me.

“It’s ok, I understand. Come on, I’ll walk you back down,” I said. We walked back through the apartment, and I stopped in the living room for a minute. “I’m walking Leandro back down to let him out. Will you guys listen for the little nugget for me? I’ll be right back up,” I said. “Yeah, we have him, go,” Dove said.

I walked over to the door and headed down the stairs with Leandro following after he said goodbye. At the bottom of the steps, he turned to face me. “I know that you have your reservations about me, about us. But baby, you are mine as much as I am yours. I love you and have since the first time that I set my eyes on you. We will be back together again. I’m going to make sure of that, baby. I have a place outside of town that I bought, and it’s being renovated. It’s a big farm property with a huge house. When I get it done, I want you and our son to live there with me, I already called and let my architect know what room I wanted to be Veer’s. I just need to know how it’s going to be decorated once the renovation is done. For now, I’ll be patient, but I won’t be for long. We’re supposed to be together, baby. I know it. You’re my soulmate, and we’re meant to be together. I’m going to go now. I love you, my Effie girl,” he said,

He pulled me into a hug, and then he wrapped his hand into my hair. He pulled my head back, and with one hand in my hair and the other grabbing my ass, he kissed me. He prodded my mouth open with his tongue and continued to kiss the life out of me. He pulled me to him even tighter and continued to kiss me until I had to pull back to catch my breath. He dominated the hell out of that kiss, and I was panting, trying to

catch my breath.
