It’s been a week since I first had dinner with Leandro and his family. Since then, his mom and sister have

come by the bakery a few times. They both came to buy pastries, but Alena also came to spend time with Veer. She loves the fact that she now has two grandsons. He loves to spend time with her.

Leandro, on the other hand, I have only seen once this week. Alena told me that they are dealing with an

issue and that he will be around as soon as he can. She also said that he feels bad because he thinks that

I think he’s ignoring me when he isn’t. Whatever is going on is pretty big because she said that River’s men

are involved in it as well. I think it has to do with her attack, but I’m not sure.

Alena and River want to get together this weekend and do something with the boys. Since Fin is only three

months old, he won’t really care what we do. Honestly, Veer never cares either. I think that we are going to

go to the children’s museum and the zoo again. Veer and I love animals and the zoo, so we could go every

day and be happy.

That’s in a few days; in the meantime, I’ve been spending time with my brothers when I’m not working.

Usually, when they are here, my dad and grandma are. But this time, they were delayed in coming down

here. Dad had a busy project at work, so they had to postpone until next week. I can’t wait until they come

down; I miss them both so much.

When I’ve not been spending time with the boys, I’ve been busy baking. I have had my usual treats for the

bakery to make. And with Easter coming up, I have special cupcakes and pastries that I bake for it. I have

different little treats that I do for each holiday. For this one, I make little bunnies and stuff to put on the

cakes and cupcakes. While the grocery store cakes are cute with their little plastic faces. I make mine out

of icing and candy.

On top of that, I also have three birthday cakes and two wedding cakes to make on Saturday. Thankfully,

they are all about medium–sized and I don’t have to deliver them. They are all being picked up. I have no

problem delivering cakes when it’s needed for the bigger cakes. But I’d rather have my weekends to spend with my son. My regulars know this and are usually pretty good about it. They all know that I work through

the week so that I have the weekends to spend with him.

But you have that rogue customer that comes in that will bitch about me now delivering a small or medium–sized cakes. Hell, even the large cakes can be picked up. It’s the cakes that are two or more tiers that I will deliver so that they get there in one piece. I even have a special truck that is for deliveries.

The cakes that are due to be picked up this week I’ll do on Friday morning so that they are ready. And that means that I’ll be doing more baking on Thursday night. Once Veer is down for the night, I’ll come back down and get all of the baking done. That way, all I have to worry about Friday morning is the cakes.
