His Ruthless Redemption (Isabella and Dominic) novel Chapter 224

Chapter 224-

No.

No.

A movement caught my eye.

Luca. He was still working.

I marched towards him immediately. “Where’s Isabella?”

Luca barely looked up. “Good evening to you too”

Not tonight. I didn’t have patience for this tonight. “Where is she?”

He finally looked at me. “Why are you asking me?”

My jaw clenched dangerously. Because every second we wasted talking was another second Isa wasn’t answering her phone.

“Luca”

Something in my voice must have finally gotten through. Because his expression changed. “What?”

“When did she leave?”

He frowned. “Hours ago.”

My blood ran cold. “What?”

“She left early today.”

The room seemed to tilt slightly.

Left early.

No.

No no no.

Because she wasn’t home.

And if she wasn’t here, then where the hell was she?

I immediately called her again.

Voicemail.

Again.

Phone switched off.

Dread settled heavily in my chest. Cold. Terrifying.

Luca stood up now, clearly sensing something was wrong. “What happened?”

“She isn’t home.”

the color drained slightly from his face. “What?”

“She never got there.”

Luca looked alert and genuinely worried. Not annoyed or irritated at my presence Bus deeply worried.

I called Marco again immediately.

“Boss?”

“I need security footage.”

My voice sounded strange. Tight. Controlled. One step away from panic.

“Of the parking area.”

A pause. Then, “I’m on it.”

Luca grabbed his jacket. “I’m coming.”

Normally I would’ve told him to stay out of it. But tonight? I didn’t care.

2

We practically ran towards the security office.

Every terrible possibility kept flashing through my mind. Kidnapping. Accident. Medical emergency. The Vitellis.

Jesus Christ.

Isa was pregnant.

The baby.

My baby.

I clenched my fists hard enough for my knuckles to ache.

Nothing was happening to her. Nothing. Not while I was breathing.

The security room felt impossibly small.

Marco was already there, footage loaded.

Ready.

I looked towards Luca.

“What time did she leave?”

He gave the approximate time.

Marco immediately rewound the footage.

The screen flickered.

People entered. People exited. Employees leaving. Visitors arriving.

Hen, die elevator opened.

My heart stopped.

An unconscious woman hung limply over a man’s shoulder.

Isa.

My Isa.

My entire body went cold. For a second, I genuinely couldn’t breathe.

She wasn’t moving, wasn’t fighting, wasn’t conscious.

The man carried her casually. Like she weighed nothing. Like she wasn’t carrying my child. Like she wasn’t the most important person in my world.

A sound escaped me, something between a curse and a growl.

The footage continued.

The bastard opened a car trunk.

Then carefully placed her inside.

The trunk.

My vision went red.

I slammed a fist against the desk hard.

“Fuck!”

Nobody reacted. Because they were all staring at the footage too. At Isa.At what had happened to her.

Luca turned towards me immediately, his face was red with rage. “This is because of you.”

Not now. Not tonight. But he kept going.

“Someone took her because of you.”

I spun towards him. “Shut up.”

“No.” His voice rose. “This is exactly what I’ve been talking about.”

My temper snapped. “I said shut up.”

Γ

“Look what happens every time she gets involved with

your

world.”

Every word felt like gasoline on a fire. Because part of me already blamed myself. Part of me was already drowning in guilt. I’d relaxed security because she’d asked. Because she wanted space. Because she’d finally looked happy.

And now she was gone.

My chest felt like it was being crushed.

narrowed “Wait”

Marco stared at the footage. Then at the paused image. Then back again.

Recognition flashed across his face.

My stomach dropped. “You know him?”

Marco didn’t answer immediately, staring at the image. Then, slowly, he said, “I’ve seen him before.

My pulse spiked, “Who is he?”

Before he could answer, my phone rang.

The sound was deafening in the silence.

I glanced down and frowned.

Alessia.

What the hell?

For one irrational second, I almost declined it. I didn’t have time for this..Not now. Not when Isa was missing. Not when my entire world had just disappeared.

But something stopped me. A feeling. An instinct telling me to pick it up.

I answered. “Alessia.”

Her voice came immediately, urgent and panicked and completely unlike anything I’d ever heard from her before. “Dominic.

Every muscle in my body tightened, “What?”

A shaky breath came through the line. Then, “Someone kidnapped Isabella.“

I froze, my grip tightening around the phone. “How do you know that?”

Another breath. Then the words that made my blood run cold. “Because I know who took her.”

Silence, Heavy, Terrible silence. “What?”

“I know who it is.”

My heart hammered painfully, “Alessia.”

“They’re going to hurt her.” She sounded scared, genuinely scared.

Every instinct inside me roared. “Where is she?”

A pause. Then, “I know where they’ve taken her. I will take you there.”

Chapter 224

Isabella’s POV

The first thing I noticed was the pounding in my head. The second was the darkness.

For a few seconds, I couldn’t understand where was. Or why I was here.

I blinked slowly, and the room around me swam into focus.

It was small, bare and almost empty save for a worn sofa beneath me. A rattling fan spun lazily in one corner. There was a small window positioned high up near the ceiling, moonlight streaming through it with pale silver light cutting through the darkness.

I stared at it for a moment.

Moonlight.

Night.

My stomach dropped.

Night?

How long had I been unconscious for? What time of the night was it?

Panic immediately clawed up my throat.

I sat up so fast the room tilted slightly. “Oh God.”

My hands flew to my stomach.

The baby.

For one terrifying second, I couldn’t breathe. I pressed my palms against my abdomen desperately.

Please.

Please be okay.

Please.

ľ

Nothing felt wrong. There was no pain, cramping or blood, just the lingering dizziness from whatever they’d used to knock

me out.

Relief flooded me so quickly I almost cried.

Okay.

That meant the baby was okay, at least for now.

I took a shaky breath.

Then another, trying to calm my racing heart.

Chapter 224

Think

Think.

What happened?

The elevator. The cloth. That horrible chemical smell: Then darkness.

Kidnapped.

The realization landed fully now. Someone had kidnapped me.

My pulse immediately doubled again.

I pushed myself off the sofa and rushed towards the door.

It was locked.

Of course it was locked.

I grabbed the handle anyway, twisted it, pulled it but nothing happened.

“No.” I hit the door with my palm.

“Hello?”

Silence.

I hit it again, louder this time.

“Open the door!”

There was no response, the room swallowing my voice whole as fear crawled beneath my skin.

“Can anyone hear me?”

Still nothing.

I slammed both hands against the door.

“Open this damn door!”

There was no answer. No footsteps. No movement. Nothing.

The silence was somehow worse than if someone had answered. At least then I would’ve known someone was there.

I backed away slowly, my breathing growing faster.

Who had taken me? Why?

The obvious answer came immediately.

Dominic

It had to be related to Dominic. Everything dangerous in my life eventually circled back to Domime.

Chapter 224→

One of his enemies. One of the mafia families. The Vitellis. Someone seeking revenge. Someone looking for leverage

My stomach twisted violently.

But then another thought occurred to me, a strange one.

If that were true, wouldn’t they have tied me up? Wouldn’t they have threatened me already? Wouldn’t they have hurt me?

I looked down at myself.

My clothes were untouched. No bruises or injuries in sight. No restraints. Nothing.

I was completely fine, physically anyway.

What did that mean?

Why bring me here only to leave me alone?

The questions made my anxiety spike again.

I returned to the door, banging harder this time.

3

“Let me out!” My voice cracked.

“I know someone can hear me!”

Still nothing.

The silence stretched endlessly.

My throat started hurting, already raw from shouting and I was thirsty.

God.

I was thirsty.

And hungry.

When had I last eaten? Lunch?

I couldn’t remember.

My pulse pounded in my ears.

The room suddenly felt too small, too hot, too suffocating.

I pressed both hands against my stomach again.

The baby.

The doctor’s warning flashed through my mind immediately.

Stress isn’t good for her.

Stress isn’t good for the baby.

Chapter 224-

The memory hit like cold water. And suddenly, I forced myself to stop. Stop shouting. Stop panicking. Stop spiraling. At least a little.

Because this wasn’t just about ge anymore.

Every burst of panic, every breakdown, every stress hormone flooding my body was affecting my baby, too.

And I couldn’t allow that, not if I could help it.

I slowly sat back down on the sofa.

Then took a deep breath.

Out.
