Chapter 304: A waste of genes

KOLTON’S POV

I still wasn’t sure how Jasmine had done it. To my knowledge before Edward was caught and arrested he had told me Keith was so obsessed with Jasmine. He took her to his new estate and essentially holding her hostage there. He was also making plans to stop their divorce entirely.

They’ve been married for nine years now and had no romantic feelings for her. This sudden shift has quite literally derailed my entire plan. I thought even an idiot like Diana could handle things. I should have used someone smarter.

I brought my hands to my head. No point crying over split milk now.

My phone then rang in my pockets pulling me out of my thoughts. I took it out and answered.

"Uh Sir, Marco and Anthony tried to go in the room of sylvia." One of my men at the residence told me.

"Aren’t you watching them? What the hell?" I asked him feeling agitated.

"I apologoze sir, we--," he started.

"--Put them in the basement I’ll talk to them when I get there," I told the man.

I sighed what were those two ding? I didn’t even have to guess, i already know it Anthony who is responsible for this. Probabaly tryimg to put ideas in Marco’s mind. I chuckled I was almost amused by that boys persistance but soon he would realize why

I finished work for the day and clocked off at the office. Now was to make the hour drive to Redwood where my home was. Only a few days remained until the ransom had to be paid up.

Everything was in place right now. Diana was dead. Keith still didn’t suspect me. Edward was my fall guy. I had always planned from the moment I started working with him that things had gone wrong then he would be the one take the blame and make everything to point to him.

Now i just had to receive the company and it would all be over. For a last minute plan I was proud of myself.

As soon as I arrived at my estate, I went down to the basement where the boys were being held. I found them seated by the mat/bed in the room.

I started Marco. "...are you an idiot? I’ve trained you well you should know better than to listen to Anthony," I told him.

"Yes, dad," he answered.

My eyes narrowed as stared into his eyes that were similar to mine. It brought back memories of the training I had him do when he was younger. I had him wear blue contacts and dyed his hair black as early as 5 years old. He had to learn to put on an act for Keith so I had start him early.

I had him trained to call his his uncle, father.

The sooner he got used to wearing the contacts the easier it was for him to not only act like he was Keith’s son but also for him to believe it himself.

Anytime he didn’t do as I said he would be punished and sent down here. That quickly taught him to fear me and to obey me.

Luckily for me he didn’t inherit his mothers stupidity. He listened quite well to my instructions and his acting skills were spot on.

My eyes then narrowed as I continued staring at him.

You’re useless to me now i thought to myself. The whole point of your existence was to be one the Acland heir. what am I supposed to do with you? I literally had you for nothing at the end of the day. And with that useless woman on top of that. What a mess.

Do I get rid of you too? Or do I just keep you around?

My eyes widened in surprise when Anthony suddenly came between Marco and I. He had a fire I realized he was trying to protect Marco

"What are you doing you idiot?!" I yelled as i raised my arm and shoved Anthony out of the way.

He’s just like his mother. Busy causing trouble, ruining my plans.

I finished off reprimanding them and I left the basement and made to go to my room. I had dinner and contemplated my next steps.

The following I went to work as usual. I returned in the evening. I still hqadn’t received any updates from Keith. He was really going to wait until the last second before he signed off the company?
