Chapter 103 Let Go of My Bestie
Finished
The next morning. Wynette woke up feeling an intense warmth wrapped around her.
Her eyes flew open, only to find herself in completely unfamiliar surroundings.
And the source of that warmth was wrapped around her waist.
A strong arm was draped across her middle, holding her tightly in place.
There was also a burning warmth pressed against her back.
Wynette lowered her head and stared at the hand wrapped around her waist, her entire body going rigid as she froze in place.
Suddenly, flashes of last night’s fiery memories surfaced in her mind.
Holy crap!
I–I think I kissed Adriel first.
And what else?
I seem to remember saying I wanted to see his eight–pack abs and use them as a slide.
Wynette awkwardly shut her eyes.
The memories were way too clear. She was so embarrassed that she wanted to disappear.
God, alcohol really does ruin lives, and good looks are a total trap. What the hell did I do last night?
Whether she actually saw the abs or not, she didn’t know, but she definitely remembered touching them.
And as for the sliding thing…
Wynette realized she had absolutely no memory of that part.
Everything after the kiss was a complete blank.
She actually blacked out.
Looking down at the unfamiliar set of men’s pajamas she was wearing, Wynette felt like she was about to
cry.
She genuinely couldn’t remember what had happened after that point last night.
Just as Wynette cautiously reached over, trying to secretly move the arm around her waist away, the grip around her tightened.
Adriel’s hoarse voice came from behind her. “You’re awake.”
Wynette’s mind instantly went blank.

She could clearly feel her back pressed tightly against Adriel’s chest.

The moment she heard his voice, she immediately shut her eyes again and pretended she was still asleep.
She even desperately brainwashed herself that she wasn’t awake.
Adriel could tell from her stiff body alone that Wynette had already woken up and was currently pretending to sleep because she didn’t know how to face him.
Thinking that, Adriel curled his lips into a smile.
Hearing the suppressed laughter from the man behind her, Wynette knew her fake sleeping act had completely failed.
She opened her eyes. There was no way she could keep pretending anymore.
Wynette simply pried Adriel’s hand off her waist, rolled over, and sat up, glaring at the man who was still smiling way too happily. “You… I… Last night, did we…”
Her face turned bright red, but she couldn’t force the rest of the question out.
Adriel sat up beside her, smiling as he looked at the flustered Wynette. “Exactly what you’re thinking. The second you got home last night, you clung to me and wouldn’t let go. You kept saying you wanted to see my abs and use them as a slide.”
“You pinned me down and started pulling at my clothes. Honestly, when you’re drunk, you’re freakishly strong. I couldn’t even stop you in time. You were having a pretty wild time last ni–mmph…”
“Shut up! Stop talking!” Wynette panicked and lunged forward, covering his mouth tightly with both hands.
Right now, she wanted nothing more than to dig a hole and bury herself alive. Her ears and cheeks burned with embarrassment.
The worst part was that she had zero memory of any of it. This was humiliating on a whole new level.
Adriel was still smiling.
The moment Wynette threw herself at him, his arms instinctively wrapped around her waist protectively.
Completely overwhelmed by humiliation, Wynette failed to notice just how intimate their current position looked.
“Holy crap, Adriel, how did I get home? Where’s Wynette? Don’t tell me I ditched her and came back by myself…
Outside the room, Joanne kicked Adriel’s bedroom door open with all her strength.
Her loud yelling gradually grew quieter the second she saw the intimate scene between Wynette and
Adriel.
Joanne’s eyes widened as she rubbed them hard, terrified she was seeing things incorrectly.

This has to be a hallucination. There’s no way the woman wearing Adriel’s pajamas and practically sprawled across him in bed is my precious bestie.
Nope. No way. Absolutely not.
I’m literally right here. Who exactly is Joanne planning to look for?
Along with Joanne’s horrified scream. “Ahhh! Adriel, you shameless creep! What did you do to Wynette?! Ahhh!”
2:27 pm
Hands planted on her hips, she unhappily demanded, “Wait a second. Since when were you two secretly together behind my back?”
It couldn’t have started last night, right?
Only then did Joanne finally remember getting drunk last night, hiring gigolos, and waving Adriel’s abs photo around while trying to convince her best friend to appreciate it.
She wailed and smacked herself on the forehead repeatedly. This is all my fault. Getting drunk is one thing, but how could I have done something this stupid too?
Thinking that, Joanne immediately put on a flattering smile. “I’m sorry, Adriel.”
Funny how she showed absolutely zero regret while throwing punches earlier.
Adriel glanced at her helplessly. “Can you hurry up and get out?”
“Yep. I’m leaving right now.” Joanne turned and immediately headed for the door.
But halfway there, she suddenly doubled back. Right in front of Adriel, she forcibly pulled Wynette out of his arms before dragging her straight out of the bedroom.
From beginning to end, Wynette never even figured out what was happening before Joanne dragged her
away.
Adriel didn’t stop his sister at all.
Thinking back to the panicked look on Wynette’s face after waking up that morning, he couldn’t help laughing.
In reality, absolutely nothing had happened between them last night. He’d only been teasing her earlier.
After that uncontrollable kiss, Wynette had grabbed him and thrown up all over him.
Adriel had no choice but to carry Wynette into the bedroom and let her shower and change her clothes herself afterward.
Since the house only had his pajamas, Wynette could only make do with wearing them.
After Adriel finished showering and came back out, he found Wynette already asleep on his bed.
He’d only gone over to cover her with the blanket, but once again, Wynette grabbed his collar and dragged
him onto the bed with her.
She wrapped herself around him and refused to let go. Adriel honestly had no idea where she’d picked up this habit of hugging people in her sleep.
Unable to pry himself free, he could only resign himself to being her human body pillow for the night.
