I Chose Me Over My Marriage novel Chapter 153

Watching from the sidelines, Lyra couldn't hide the smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

CeCe really liked Miles.

Anyone with a pulse could see that.

The only mystery was how Miles felt about it.

"Long time no see," CeCe spoke first.

Miles stopped in front of her, giving a slight nod. "Long time no see."

Seeing that their interaction was far from warm, Lyra shook her head helplessly.

Her brother was great in many ways, but knowing how to talk to women definitely wasn't one of them.

Lyra stepped forward, standing next to CeCe as she looked at Miles.

"You two catch up. I'm going upstairs to handle some work."

Hearing this, Miles glanced at her, unable to find a reason to object.

As for Lyra.

She always made it a point to finish her work during office hours and rarely brought lingering tasks home unless it was an absolute emergency.

She simply wanted to give Miles and CeCe some space.

But Lyra had no idea that Miles had already seen right through her intentions.

Once Lyra went upstairs, Miles and CeCe exchanged a look before sitting on the sofa, keeping a noticeable distance between them.

CeCe noticed him deliberately pulling away. Remembering the rumors online, her eyes dimmed slightly.

"The person you mentioned liking before... I've met her now, haven't I?"

CeCe gave a self-deprecating smile as she spoke.

She finally understood why she could never secure a place in Miles's heart.

Miles frowned, his voice low. "This has nothing to do with you. Please don't jump to conclusions."
