That made sense.
Chloe nodded thoughtfully.
"Where do you two live? I'll drop you off."
"In that case, Miles, you should take her home."
They both spoke at the exact same time.
Noticing Miles's confusion, Chloe quickly elaborated. "She's always carried a lot of guilt about what happened back then. She comes back to visit the house every so often, but she never actually dares to go inside. She just needs a little push. If you take this chance to bring her home, she won't be able to argue about it once she wakes up."

Miles easily caught her drift.
However, he was a bit more hesitant.
He looked down at the sleeping Lyra, his gaze turning somber.

Chloe paused, opening her mouth a few times but failing to find the right words.

Lyra groaned softly, slowly forcing herself to stand.
"I think I'm going to throw up."
She gagged, looking as though she might actually be sick.
Seeing this, Miles immediately scooped her up into his arms.
"Let's just get a room at the hotel next door."
Given Lyra's current state, she was in no condition to survive a car ride.
Chloe completely agreed. After settling the bill, she left the venue alongside Miles.
Inside the hotel room, Miles gently laid Lyra on the bed before standing up to look at Chloe.
"I'm going to go buy her a change of clothes. Do you need anything?"
Chloe shook her head. "No, I'm good. I..."
